Aloof Dressed In Inchies

Distressed wasn’t the word when I dropped a small can of red paint yesterday … Vogue Moulin Rouge … but lucky enough it was emulsion and cleaned up OK but that wasn’t the last of it. Had this great idea of painting some directly onto bubble wrap then running through the Spellbinders Grand Calibur. Guess who put to much paint onto the bubble wrap and it squigged out everywhere, another mess to clean up but the cardstock looked great. 😀 Couldn’t face making anything yesterday but today I was in the mood and below is my finished piece.

I used to love inchies but haven’t made anything with them for a long while so out came my new Studio 490 Stamps which I bought whilst back in the UK but only just getting around to using. You can actually buy stamps that are the perfect size for inchies but I have made my own. Stamped the flapper from the set onto a 5″ x 2″ piece of painted card (OK stop laughing), used Versamark and black embossing powder before cutting into 1″ squares. Trust me they are evenly spaced but the pic make them look lopsided!!!

Here is a close up of the cut out inchies and the bubble painted card (still hear you laughing). The parasol is from Crafty Individuals but the bumble bee has been cut into from the background paper to give more dimension.

Entering for Simon Says Stamp & Show – Depth Of Distress … which I think is just perfect for this piece considering the paint incident!!!!
