I have a real gem of a lady called Maria who can only come to my classes once a fortnight …(she lives in Dublin) … and because yesterday was her day to be at the class I decided we would make an altered domino book instead of the usual card.
I have to admit that these little books have never appealed to me before … always looked to fiddly. How wrong could I have been, and guess who changed my mind about them … yep Brenda … you can see her books here. She showed Clare, Pat, Amber and myself a couple she had made when we were at home and I totally fell in love with them.
One and only time I couldn’t wait to get back to Ireland … (I do love Ireland to bits just miss my family more) … and my craft room to have a go. So below is my first ever Domino Book. Minus all the drilled holes to add the trinkets as it’s only a two hour class … eh going on three or four usually … and time is an issue.
First pics are the front and back of the book tied together with two bows.
The first pic below is of the concertina fold out with images of gorgeous little girls on every other fold and the other folds have designer paper with two little pockets added and teensy little tags inserted.
Other pics are what you see when turned around. Lots of elegant ladies on every other fold plus the other folds have letters which make a name when fully extended.
Stamped images are from … can’t remember but the digi images are from Nicecrane Designs here and here which have been downsized to fit the teensy teensy mini book.
Will show the box which it fits into tomorrow, it is so diddly but gorgeous.
This is stunning Shirley, and such beautiful images and stamps. Amber is one lucky girl to receive this.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

An absolute stunner Shirley. Such a beautiful cover and the concertina inside is beautiful. As Avril said – lucky Amber!

That is absolutely amazing Shirl. Its something I’ve wanted to do for ages but keep putting it off as my fingers and eyes are on the elderly side but I am really inspired to have a go by your beautiful creation. Can I just ask, did you use traditional dominoes or special ones bought for the purpose? Thanks, Margie
