It’s A Man Thing

Vintage Stamping Challenges wants to see something for the man in their new challenge this month. I made this whilst in the UK at one of my play days with my SIL. Happy Birthday Irene.

This is another die that I would never have bought for myself but after having a play with it I can see it going on my rather long (and getting longer) wish list … can’t wait for Ally Pally. It really lends itself to a man card but I can also see the potential of making girly things.

Stamped the man which you can find here at Flonzcrafts, it comes as a pair but they are so easy to cut around to just use one image. Painted the cardstock before I embossed then used various stencils with ink and paste. Touched up with a little gold embossing powder in the corners before adding the rest of the embellies.

Do you know Shirley, this is a die I pondered over at Stamperama yesterday, then decided against it, now looking at what you have done with it I am kicking myself as your piece is stunning. And so much lovely added texture as well.

This is great, Shirl – love the stitching on the straps – so cool! And the burnished reds and grungy stamping and distressing are wonderful. Love it! I do have the die, and don’t use it nearly often enough, so thanks for the nudge.

This is fabulous. It is a category (masculine) that is often ignored and for which we all need inspiration! Love the image and the texture. The die is incredible and I can imagine all the ways to use it. xxx Ann Marie

This is an expensive trip Shirl, I think that die needs to go on my wish list too! I love this and it would make a perfect card for a man, as you rightly say. I love how you have aged and distressed it. Anne xx
