Penny For Them

Dot will be surprised, I managed to finish these makes and even post them.  Today was all about playing around with painted backgrounds, using very few colours and making one layer pieces.

Firstly this is one of my favourite stamps so she just had to have centre stage.  Paints used are TH Distress Paint – Barn Door and Mustard Seed.

Next is this rather elegant tag.

It seems like forever that I have made a tag but this one was a joy to make.

Last but not least is this tiger stamp which is from one of Sheena’s sets.  It was bought many moons ago in one of those mad moments of … I just have to have it.

First time of inking and now I am wondering why it took me so long as he is gorgeous and stamps like a dream.

Oh yes, that first stamp is simply mahhvellous! Is she from B Line Designs? Love the second woman too… and all three look great in the limited colour palette. So much interesting detail in those backgrounds.

Hi, Shirl! What an amazing use of color, with three different themes! Your first woman looks incredible with a creamy complexion, and yet great use of crimson “dabs” here and there – It’s a beautiful creation. Your tag is elegant indeed! WOW! Gorgeously peaceful, and very serene and feminine. In your third, I really like the use of the same colors, yet applying them with different stencils to create textures perfectly suited to your tiger! WOW! amazing how you went from happy, to peaceful, to strength of nature in these three projects! Thanks for sharing. hugs, de

  5. Wow…I love how different they all are!!! How awesome is that tiger 🙂
