Spring Comes To FSC

We have some exciting news over on the FSC page this month as we have a new DT member starting but sadly we have lost the lovely Dani who has decided to step down.

Our new DT member is called Hanne and you can find her here.

I am sure you would all love to pop on over to say hi, also whilst there have some fun by joining in with the new challenge which is:

“Springtime”

The lovely Yvonne picked it plus I am sure it’s going to be a favourite with you all.

If it wasn’t for the snow still on the ground today would be a perfect Spring day.

I think you can tell by the photo of the card I took, the shadow from the butterfly really highlights how strong the sun is.

Decorated an envelope to match the card, love doing this especially if I am giving the card by hand.

The above card is the sample that I was demonstrating for the girls in my Saturday class which I never get to finish until the class is over.

Below is the actual card the girls made.

Would really love it if you hopped on over to see all the DT’s work as they are simply stunning.

Ink Art Designs Etsy Shop is sponsoring FSC and they will be offering a stamp for the winner of each new challenge.

Brilliant design Shirley, I’m keeping note to CASE this one at some point! The warm and bright colours are full of a Spring I’m so longing for… Have a great Mothering Sunday! xx

Two lovely springtime creations, Shirl! The layout you’ve chosen is so pretty! It’s a great “dividing” feature in your first card, showing both happiness on top, and busy-builder on the bottom. But I especially like the pretty background like a ray of sunshine, and how the butterfly is bursting forth, coloring all the living creatures in her path. Your 2nd card is lovely in those blues and corals -wishing you a great day! hugs, de

Hi Shirley, both cards are wonderfully spring-like. Very beautiful!
Have a good start into the new week.

  5. Hi Shirley,
What a fantastic card! I love the ‘ray of sunshine’ that goes through the center. It’s very fitting that there is a shadow with the butterfly because it suits this ray beautifully.

A lovely card and I love the design – like a ray of sunshine. The sample card for the class looks very pretty in the Blue/pinks.
I’ve just re-signed up to emails as I hadn’t realised with the change of blog address I wouldn’t be getting notifications.
    Hugs, Avril xx

    Hi Shirl,
Thank you so much for your recent visiting on my blog, and your lovely words, my dearest Shirl.
I also continue to appreciate very much all what you do, and also visit you as soon as I can! Time is the most complicated resource to find sadly, due to my large family to take care and my classes too, and Life… I’m sure you know what I mean 🙂
I really love this adorable card and its envelope!!
The birds are so cute, and the design of the card + envelope is very inspiring for maybe a little class too! 😀 Thank you.
I’m going to see some posts I’ve missed.
    Hugs, xxx
