Ingredients of Mallard….

Pink Petticoat have a freebie download at the moment and he was printed directly onto the paper and cut out, used a different paper for his beak. Repeated the process but only cut out the top half and hid him behind a fringe. (Sneaky Peak or what).

Made the rosette with ribbon and added a make yourself Papermania brad, buttons from stash.

Stitched background paper and used a wavy punch… a little fringing effect to hide MALLARD…. papers are from Basic Grey… Cupcake.

Don’t you just love how MALLARD’S eye has the flower above it.

Off to the UK today so won’t be posting for the next couple of days… withdrawal symptons have started already.

I am back for two birthdays this time my granddaughter Amber who will be 12 and Andrews….. not saying how old he is…..

Just had to make another meeee card…. (any excuse).

Anyway Shirl feet back on the ground and mention the card…. don’t you just go all gooey with these fabulous stamps from Whiff of Joy. This card actually opens where the two scalloped edges meet, wanted something a bit different. Paper piecing is my thing at the moment and I think she looks gorgeous…. (just what I would have liked to look like).

Went with the tassles again… oh so love these, ribbon, roses all from stash. All papers are a digi download (as usual).

Not sure what has happened to the blogs I follow and my followers on google but I am trying to sort out (hubby actually is trying to sort out).

This is the card we made at my class last night. Girls are loving the vintage and shabby chic look.

Another Joanna Sheen image and another adorable paper flower (well lots of flowers in one) definitely a box job and not an envelope for this one. Lace and beads were both stitched on by hand this time, and the Thank You stamped onto the paper and corners make the card look gorgeous.

Really love this one.

Whoopee my fringe scissors by Martha Stewart have just arrived from QVC … can’t wait to use them. Making my fringe flowers should be so much easier now… wish I had had them for this card.

Paint The Town Red

010082

My card today is for meeeee… I have been asked by Laura from Crafty Angels to be on her Design Team… how excited am I…. so decided to make myself a card to celebrate… better than painting the town red. Nothing fussy, didn’t even colour the image in.

Used my new and absolutely adorable stamp from Whiff of Joy, have bought the one where she is holding all the shopping bags as well.

Entering into a few challenges ….

Lots To Do Challenge – Use a Machine

Only posted yesterday so it just fitted into last weeks challenge by a whisker and woo hoo it fits this weeks challenge…. Keep it Simple.

Stamped her with black ink and thought she looked totally divine without colouring in so I only paper pieced her dress and shoes. Cut out with a nestie label and inked the edges. Did a running stitch around the edges and added beads, also added gems to her wrists, dazzle or what..

Made a pocket with the lace by stitching (trusty machine again) around three sides so the tag can be tucked into it. The corners are made with some very pretty pattern paper from Pink Petticoat, cut out with the small Fleur De Lis nestie and cut in half. Stamped and embossed the sentiment celebrate. Made a bow and added to the flower with a button.

By the way did I tell you I am excited.

Irene’s Birthday Card

010077010078010076

Have to say a huge thanks to JOAN… big hugs sweetie… for noticing that I had won a top 3 blinkie for challenge #14 on KL Stampin N Scrappin. and another hug for the DT’s who picked my card x x x….. I just love the flashing blinkie…. can feel another comment coming from my son JP… (not justice of the peace… John-Paul).

Bit hectic this week… (went to Waterford hospital and the pins are not coming out of my finger for another 6 weeks).

Anyway onto today’s card, it is for IRENE… happy birthday honey bunny and also happy anniversary for the next day…. picked vintage because I know she really wants to get into the distressing scene.

Stamped all over the card with a script stamp and inked the edges. Hand stitched the lace onto the image and also did a running stitch around the edge. Image is from one of Joanna Sheene’s CD’s. Just hope she likes it and the sentiment which I printed onto a nestie label and then inked the edges to match the card..

Made the flower from a retro punch, added the ribbon and lace and also inked the edges of the fringe.

PaperPlay Challenge – Birthday for Someone Special is just sooo perfect for this card.

Creative Inspirations have a challenge for…. Anyone for Leftovers? This is so right as everything came from my bit box of scraps and odds and ends.

Isn’t she just gorgeous…. wow I just love my new digi image from Fred She Said…. Smelling the Cherry Blossoms, love these easel cards also.

Did my usual watercolouring and made my own flowers.

Wanted her hair to have a real sheen to it so added black Sakura glaze and also put red sakura glaze to the edges of her kimono and dotted the trees also. Stamped some trailing vine and grass onto the image. Papers are from Pink Petticoat, these digi papers just lend themselves to lots of different projects because you have so many colour choices.

Just couldn’t resist it and used stitching again.

The little pearl flowers are more or less the colour of the blog header for Fred She Said….

Allsorts Challenge 38 – Get distressed with buttons and bows….

As you know I love distressing and I wanted to use this beautiful baby boy image from Joanna Sheen…. Gave it a very soft look with lemon, blue and lace. Used the Hero Arts stamp – Climbing Vine to frame the image and delicately chalked the leaves and flowers, then dotted lots of liquid pearls around. Added two bows to the lacy bow, tied a bundle of blue cotton together, tweaked it and added in the centre. Three rather gorgeous pale blue buttons complimented the card just nicely.

Wow so many challenges this month… must be a record

Made an aperture with a nestie and inked the edges with peeled paint.

Stamped the inside of the card with the tree so it would show through the aperture and punched lots of little leaves from a green – Pink Petticoat paper … added loads of hearts as well. Fussy and Fancy wanted hearts…. I think they should be pleased with all of these. The ribbon even has little hearts on it.
