What’s New Pussycat

010272010273

My 4 new goodies came on Friday from Crafts U Love, used the Vintage Tag on the last card but like a kid I wanted to use everything at once so the cat, lamp post and flower all went on this card.

Let’s Try Vintage is the theme over at My Partner in Crafting Crime and as you all know I adore getting inkie and dusty with all that sanding of the edges and then inking with the TH stuff. Stamped the cracked image onto the background core card, then went mad and did the window shutters flowers and cat. The lamp post was put through a Cuttlebug embossing folder, inked and sanded. Pretty doily flower also distressed but the second flower is ripped up newspaper sprayed with glimmer mists.

The Shabby Tea Room’s challenge this week is Old Meets New …. well new is the dies and old is definitely the lace which was given to me by a friend …. (only use it sparingly on my cards because it is beautiful) ….and the window die.

Simon Says Stamp and show your layers – Me thinks there are lots of layers on this.

One more goodie to show you watch out for the next card.

Hope you all enjoy visiting.

Frilly Milly Cupcake

010269010268010267010266

The girls over at My Partner in Crafting Crime have the challenge of Food and Drink and what better image is there than Frilly Milly Cupcake from Pink Petticoat.

Made a Recipe Card with vellum over the top and printed Milly onto my new Magnolia DooHickey’s Vintage Tag, attached it with a strand of pearls. Milly’s clothes are paper pieced with Pink Petticoat papers and the cherry frills are dotted with red liquid pearls. Oh so difficult to try and hold back the vellum while taking a photo but wanted to show the detail inside of the cupcakes which have been decorated with micro beads.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge want to see Paper Piecing for their challenge this week.

Hope you all enjoy.

Spinner Card

010263010262

Short and sweet today as I am off to Marie’s for a girlie crafting day, just have time to post this card before I set off.

I really enjoyed making this card as I used another favourite image from Pink Petticoat called Baby Elephant, coloured in with copics, dottie backing paper and sentiment is also PP.

Put the core card through a cuttlebug folder and then sanded over the top, stamped a little hand onto the swinging circle, added lots of liquid pearls and diamond stickles. Border punches are Anna Griffin.

Home Alone

First day back blogging in a while and oh so sad the family have all gone home back to the UK and their summer holidays here in Ireland are over until next year. The time flew by too fast as usual and now the house is just oh so quiet without them, dear Penny is wandering around looking for all her little puppies and can’t make out where they have gone. What better way is there to cheer a girl up than to make a card. The Shabby Tea Room has another gorgeous challenge this week and the image reminds me of the bedroom I used to dream of having as a little girl …. wasn’t ever going to happen I have six brothers and two sisters…. Whenever I moved and decorated my bedroom it has always been pink. Andrew can even quote my fave colour if anyone had to ask him.

Die Cut Dreams Challenge – Soft Shades of Vintage

Here is my card with an absolutely adorable image from Pink Petticoat which as you know I can’t get enough of, papers are Anna Griffin and again lots of distressing and French knots. I did the reverse masking technique on the dress and stamped with a rose image. Hope you enjoy.

Weather was glorious again today so sat on the beach with the grandkiddies and finished off my birdhouse which I have been making for the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.

My Three Girls and No.1 Grandson

beach

I know what Penny Black’s thoughts are …. A rose between two thorns and I bet these two wish they were as pretty as me.

Whew thought we weren’t going to get a day at the beach this year but Thursday was gorgeous.

Started a bit iffy, warm but cloudy, by 12ish Mr Sun decided to shine and we stayed until 4, fabulous day.

No.1 Grandson …. I can say that because he is the only one …. typical boy never happier than when he is up to his eyes in dirt …. or in this case sand.
