Love You More

Sentimental Sunday’s Challenge time and it certainly challenged me this week 😀
This week the challenge is …

Oooo it was soooo hard … had to sit on my hands because all I wanted to do was … add paper, add ribbon, add flowers, add lace … you get the picture!!!

This is the sit on my hands card and I love her.
Have to run at the moment – being given the bottoms rush from hubby but loved her so much wanted to post … Off to Dublin to buy some togs for the holiday especially a super duper sleek trim bikini for my super duper sleek trim body.

OK a hold it in tight all in one body armour for this super duper roly poly, but all mine body … wish it wasn’t all mine!!! Hands up who wants to share some of it??
Will be back later with details of sponsors images etc.

Just had my few hours of retail therapy and bought my super duper bikini so on with the rest of the info about the challenge.
Heart Song Designs are sponsoring this weeks challenge and so of course is Anne.

I have used images from Mo’s Digital Pencil – Friday’s Child – Make It Crafty and Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps
Printed directly onto a Craftwork Cards, card and coloured all with a mixture of Pro Markers, the card with paper to hide it.

Attitude In Pink

Real quick post here as I still have cards to make. Saw this book on someone’s post and fell in love with it, so had to make one, or two or even three.
Will pop back later and show inside of book also the other books I have made.

Spotlighted Embossing

At last found some time to do a bit of distressing on my card (just a bit) for the Digi Doodles Shops Best challenge.
We would love to see from you this week your Embossing.
For my card I have used the image Lady Bug – really spotlighted the image by printing the same image three times but on different coloured cardstock,
then layered one on top of the other. This technique is called Spotlighting and you can see a how to video from Dawn here.
Coloured the last image with Pro markers and triple embossed it.

For even more inspiration pop along to see what the other DT girls have created.

MIC Meets SS

Lion 4Lion 41What a yuk last few days for everyone – not even going to say the dreaded word of who’s fault it was, suffice to say it began with B

I have combined two challenges with this card – Sentimental Sundays meets Make It Colouful.

SS this week want to see your Handmade Flowers and MIC want to see your Dotty Backgrounds

The beautiful sentiment on my easel card is one from Raindrop Echo Designs the Floral Haven Sentiments.
I mixed and matched two of the sentiments from this set to make the beautiful sentiment below,
and the adorable image is Courageous Carl from Crissy’s Art & Heart both are from Whimpsy Stamps.
Background image is from Make It Crafty from The Secret Garden collection called Daffodil Dell. Trust me there is a dotty background there.

Papers used are We R Memory Keepers – Carl and Daffodil Dell have been watercoloured.
The three large silk flowers have been heated so they melt and go all crinkly, my little white flower is a piece of salvage edged material.

Last week at Sentimental Sundays we celebrated our first anniversary and we had a mini blog hop.
All the DT’s who participated were allowed to give away a digital sentiment of the winner’s choice from Raindrop Echo Designs.

The winner from my blog is – MARSHA – congratulations Marsha , please email us at sentimentalsundays@raindropecho.com
with your choice of digital sentiment set from Raindrop Echo Designs. Please remember to put – Blog Hop Winner – in the subject line.

Dressed To The Nines

This week’s challenge at Digi Doodles Shop’s Best is a
Colour Combo
and Pink
My chosen image this week is – All Dressed Up – this cheeky little girl is soooo sweet.
Beside her is another one of the newest images available at the Digi Doodle Shop, called crawling baby.

Coloured the image with Pro Markers and added micro beads – made the large flower with some lace, a piece of pink cotton,
then added the brad, papers are from Pink Petticoat.
Why not join us this week, you never know you could be the winner of the $10 gift certificate to spend online at DIGI DOODLE SHOP.
Two runners up can grab a badge to wear on their blogs, and all 3 winners will be in the running, if they wish, to join us as a Guest Designer.

Flower Girl

This week came and went without me even seeing it – do you have weeks like that???

Sunday today and that means another challenge begins at Sentimental Sundays. Easy peasy this week because we would love to see …

Don’t you just love these challenges, no worrying about sketches, colouring, embellishments … just whatever you want to enter.
Sentimental Sundays has a Design Team Call at the moment- so all you girlies out there you have until Monday, 23rd May
to submit your entry to join a super duper carefree fun team … just go for it, you know you want to.
And There’s More
Sentimental Sundays are celebrating their one year anniversary!

Actually the anniversary of the first challenge was April 18, 2010, but the first design team members joined the blog on May 10, 2010. And can you believe it? We still have SIX members of the original design team who have been with the blog for over one year! Let’s give them a round of applause 🙂
To celebrate the anniversary, you have several chances to win a digital sentiment of your choice from
Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection!
All you have to do is visit the participating DT members’ blogs and leave a comment on their Sentimental Sundays post for this week.
That means that if you visit and leave a comment for
Ann E, Ceal, Cheryl, Joanna, Lisa, Melissa, Nicole, Shirley, Tameko, and Tracey
you will get a chance to win one digital sentiment set! Easy!

Onto my card and I need help with this one girls … for the life of me I do not know where this image came from.girl-with-basket
Believe it or not I am quite organised, I have all my digi images in folders and named but for some reason this one only says Flower Girl Freebie.
If anyone knows where she came from please let me know. Anyways coloured with watercolours and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Something weird happening with my cards – have you noticed sweeties that the last three have no pink on them … spooky for me!!!!
OK – some of you might notice that Sir Oliver’s tongue is pink – don’t count.

Sir Oliver

dog-1 Sir Oliver what an apt name for him he looks so regal sitting on his cushion. As soon as I saw this new image from Digi Doodles Shop I knew I wanted to colour him. Used watercolours and then followed the sketch to make the card … which is for the new challenge today at … Digi Doodles Shops Best.
Can’t help myself have to play with my card images after taking the photo.

Below is the sketch for you to follow at Digi Doodles Shop’s Best challenge, also go take a look at the sales which are happening in store throughout May.
For even more inspiration pop along to see what the other DT girls have created.
Sentiment used is from Raindrop Echo Design called Cute & Cuddly.

Embellish It

Team A’s turn for the Let’s Ink It Up Challenge … I so look forward to these challenges … and for this fortnight we would like to see your creations with …
Embellish It
nice easy one this and I am sure there will be lots of masterpieces entered.
My DT entry is an easel card which was made from an envelope also made a matching tag which pops inside … lots of pics.

I loved piling all the embellishments onto this card and the stamping was so much fun.
Even used a delicate corner flourish stamp which I found in my stash and haven’t used for ages …
… you don’t want to know how much dust was on it … remember girls no digi’s allowed for any of the Let’s Ink It Up Challenges.
Onto the sponsor now and what you can win –
Annabelle Stamps

Andrea has so generously donated a $20 voucher to her store for the lucky winner.

Before I go I would just like to mention that Suzanne … our Team Leader and creator of Let’s Ink It Up … is missing in action at the moment,
but I am sure it won’t be long until she is back at the helm and keeping us all in order again.
Get well soon Suzannne and sending lots of cyber hugs your way.

Claire her trusty side kick is in charge at the moment and doing a splendid job. Thought it would be a case of … while the cats away … but no chance 😀
She is keeping us in check Suzanne and cracking the whip 😯
Now pop on over to see all the creations from the lovely Design Team.

Entering for – Sew Many Cards – They want to see your Easel Cards.

Keep It In The Family

It’s all happening today over at Sentimental Sundays – we not only have two challenge sponsors but we also have
our own challenge plus, an additional optional challenge which is:
Craft With A Child
Original Challenge is – Mother’s Day/Woman
Mother’s Day has bin and gone for us but not for those over the pond.
… well in my case craft with two children because both my granddaughters Amber and Lauren have made a card … pics below.

Our sponsors are:

Image used is from Deedee’s Digi’s Cuppa Love and the sentiment is from Anne V at Raindrop Echo Designs from the Family Sentiments
I made a little change to the original and put a line through love and added coffee … sorry Anne, I just have to fiddle.

The Not So Royal Couple
