I Have My Eye On You

Morning everyone … not so sunny today but still dry and warm …
Here is my mid challenge inspiration post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and as soon as I saw this fun image of Grandpa Grumps he was on my to do list.
So here he is on a tag which then slots into the little book I made … coloured Grumps with Distress Inks then I threw water over the poor little chap, also masked him off … which he didn’t like because he couldn’t see what I was doing next … which was stamping all over his body.

Grandpa Grumps is a digi stamp but I have combined him with lots of wooden and acrylic stamps just to show how you can mix and match them.

Now my mate Pam thought she didn’t like these type of images … scary she called them … so I made this just for her … also as a little thank you for the crafting goodies she bought me. Pammy loved it and she has certainly changed her mind about these type of images, she now realises that they can look fun and dare I say cute looking.

Spring Time

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
is the new challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and so appropriate for this glorious Sunday morning, birds singing, sun shining and all those light nights to look forward to what more could we want … don’t answer that 🙂 The amazing Design Team have made some gorgeous projects to inspire you … with lots of yummy stamping because that’s what FSC is all about … and we have our resident guest designer joining us this week with such a pretty card that you won’t want to miss.

My card has a very subtle, soft and pastel feel to it … I have always loved very pastel colour tones for the spring and summer especially white.
Another waterfall card for my DT project with two very floaty flowers that I made from netting and a piece of material from Laura Ashley also the mat at the back has been dry embossed then punched the corners. The stamped image was cut out with a large rectangle nestability and matted onto a scalloped one loved how, when matted, it looked like a postage stamp.

Stamps used: Stampendous – Plume PortraitHero Arts – Artistic WindowsArt Impressions – Rose Buds
Distress Inks used: Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord and Victorian Velvet

Punch: Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace

Silhouette Waterfall Card

A SILHOUETTE drawing means an outline that appears dark against a light background
Exciting ehh well this is what we would love to see you creating on your project at Little Miss Muffet Challenges this fortnight.

As you know last week Barbara released all her digital images as silhouettes also for her challenges you don’t have to use a Little Miss Muffet image but how cute is this little guy below and Barbara is offering him as a freebie until 31st March 2012 … wahoooo!!!! Hurry up girls no time to waste go get it 😀 It says it is a bunny but me thinks you could have it as a puppy dog!!! If you would like a bit more inspiration then please check out all the creations from my amazing sisters here.

I have made a little waterfall card for my DT submission, purely and simply to show you that it doesn’t have to be a black silhouette you can change the colours from black to whatever you want. This waterfall card meant I can have three silhouettes in different colours. I still get a kick out of pulling the tab at the bottom of the card and everything starts cascading, hope you enjoy.

Shopping With Little Miss Muffet

Who doesn’t love shopping and the NEW Little Miss Muffet image Eleanor May Hatter has just finished her little trip lol.
Covered a card with acetate this time round but before I attached to the card I cut the acetate on the diagonal. Next a strip of punched paper was added, a die cut and flower. For the inside to look as pretty as the outside it is best to use double sided paper. Coloured with Pro-Markers and Copics but also stamped onto her hat, bags and the boots, you can just see the hint of a little shine which I did with a Sakura glaze pen

Paper pad used is – My Mind’s Eye – Honey Cake
Stamps – Art Impressions – Vine and Hobby Art – Ink Splat
Punch – ek Success Scandinavian Lace Chain
Flower – Prima

More Chocolate

Mmmmm more chocolate, promised to show you another little bag I made out of recycled toilet rolls this time for the chocolate egg.
Can you believe no stamping, just added a little picture to the middle of the bottle cap then covered with glossy accents it looks really effective. Paper frills at the bottom makes it look so elegant and finishes everything beautifully.

Mmmmmm Chocolate

Fashionable Stamping start there new challenge for the next fortnight and the theme this time round is BINGO.

My DT project is a recycled toilet roll which I made into a bag, then added a Turkish Delight … my most fave Chocolate Bar mmmmm.
The first two pictures are the front of the bag and the next two are the back. The three lines of the grid I followed are … show some metal, lace and words which is the first vertical line on the grid. This could also have followed the middle horizontal line which is the lace, distressing and buttons because I made paper distressed ruffles on the bottom … love making these.

We made a version of this at my Cottage Crafts class yesterday and the girls loved it.
I will be showing another one I made tomorrow but this one has a Cream Egg in it … all my ladies had a treat because I gave them a cream egg to add to their 😉 projects when finished. Minute on the lips, lifetime on the hips … at my age who cares!!!

Andrew has been flattening some bottle caps for me because they look gorgeous with a little picture in the middle then add Glossy Accents which makes it look like glass.

Easel Card

Little Miss Muffet time and the challenge this fortnight is a real easy peasy one we want to see an Easel or Step Shaped Cards … see said it was easy.

My easel card has a little twist because the top half opens and becomes a gatefold.
To keep the gatefold closed I have added little magnet discs underneath the papers.

Haven’t finished embellishing the inside because this has been made with a wonderful persons birthday in mind and I want to add some personnel sentiments later. Used Basic Grey papers called Eva and fussy cut the peacock because I thought it looked so pretty. Made one of my concertina butterflies … still addicted to these but have to sit on my hands otherwise they would be on every card 😆 stamped a butterfly image behind this time that way I didn’t have to add any antennas myself. If you look on the left hand side of my side bar you can find the details of the butterfly there.

Used another of my fave images called … La Jeune Fille à l’eventail … bit of a mouthful, think it’s her name and something to do with a fan … eh don’t quote me though. Coloured with Copics, Pro Markers and a bit of water colouring … think you know me by now I throw just about everything at it.
