Time For Summer

First time of using these stamps from Crafty Individuals they have a challenge on at the moment called Time For Summer which was just perfect for my card. I have used C1-283, C1-302 and C1-235 which are all adorable. Stamped and embossed the two little girls twice, once onto the cardstock with pink embossing powder, then onto pink vellum with white embossing powder, cut out the vellum image with a spellbinders tag die which I overlaid onto the cardstock image. Stamped the flower image onto a doily embossed with pink again then coloured with TH Bundled Sage. For the mat on the inside of the card first stamped with the flourishes, embossed with Pastel Peach then inked edges with the TH – BS

Enjoy, if there are any other details you would like to know just ask sweets.

Come Fly With Me

Well there it is the painted raffia which I used as a stencil on the previous page, did a little bit of stencilling before I added to the card, it was still wet with paint and left a smudge behind … but it matched perfectly with the little girl (coloured her and the birds with the TH marker pens)also love the little tag which I made into a handbag for her. Stamped onto the green striped ribbon then added some little dots to the edges so it all tied in together.

The album is coming along nicely but not doing another page today because I have to make a card for my card class tomorrow, not to worry will be working on it again on Sunday.

Lots of different stamps used if there is any that you would like the name of just lave a comment and I will get back to you.

Two more pages completed in the album hope you are enjoying them as much as I am making, if you want to see the start of the album please scroll down.

Dabbed paint onto the tag this time, then on the facing page dabbed with the same paint through a piece of raffia ribbon, tomorrow when I show the next page you will see the piece of raffia which was used … how tight am I wasn’t going to throw it away.

Ophelia

This is an ongoing project and as I finish a page I will post, yesterday I showed the album cover and today here is the front cover when it is opened plus also the first page. There are six pages inside and each of these have flap pockets added so that tags or photos can be slotted into them. The pages are suspended in the album and they are also pocketed so that they will take either 6 tags or 6 photo mats sized at 4″ x 6″, the album itself measures 5 1/2″ x 6 1/2″.

Used loads of stamps but the little French ones and sentiments on the tags were all bought at Ally Pally and they were only £1 a set … bargain eh … The gorgeous image is called Ophelia and she is another yummylicious from the Stampsmith, coloured her lightly with distress inks, if you have a look at the flap pocket you will see a smaller image of her … stamped onto shrink plastic, cut out with a nestie then made a hole at the top before I shrunk it down.

Nothing tomorrow as I am off to Waterford Hospital but will show more as and when … enjoy Shirl

Romeo & Juliet

I totally fell in love with this image called Juliet from the Stampsmith when I first saw it on Lynne’s blog and just had to have it, I also knew what I was going to do with it … yeh another album. Come back tomorrow and I will show the first page in the album where I have used another stamp called Ophelia which is equally adoring.

Thank you Estelle because when these stamps arrived in the envelope they were packaged with so much care that I had to keep it. I took the stamps off the envelope very carefully and even kept the stamping which you had done. One of the pages in this album has all these embellishments on it because I couldn’t bare to throw them away. I can see me popping back often for more of these fantastic stamps.

Fashionable Stamping Challenges has a new theme this fortnight which is EMBOSSING … either heat or dry … if you like stamping as much as me you will do both. My teemie sister Avril picked the theme for this challenge and it certainly made me happy 😆

Juliet has been gently coloured with Copics also stamped lots of flowers plus the butterfly has been stamped onto paper and vellum. It doesn’t really show but I used pink ink for the vellum and embossed with clear powder, papers and ribbon are from Stampin Up.

Please you really should pop over to see the all the DT’s creations they are all so inspiring plus I am sure you will just love them as much as I do also whilst there maybe add your creation so that we can all pop on over to have a peek and leave you lots of love.

April Showers At LMMC

This week has certainly seen it’s fair share of April showers but not complaining because the gardens and farmers definitely need it so Little Miss Muffet’s new fortnightly challenge is very appropriate

APRIL SHOWERS

We would love to see all your fabulous creations with the above theme in mind … my card is very easy and simple to make, inked the cutie Paprika with Versamark and stamped onto black cardstock then added white embossing powder, did the same with the sentiment, added a Prim Poppy diecut (one of the new Memory Box dies I bought at Ally Pally on Saturday) plus a ribbon and a few little glass teardrops, easy as I said but very effective.

We have another new teamie joining us this week so please hop on over and give Mary a very warm welcome.

LMM Now In Rubber

Had a fantastic time at the craft show in Alexandra Palace at the weekend met up with lots of friends that I haven’t seen for ages but also met a few fantastic ladies that I knew only from crafting blogland … wahoo now I can put voices and faces to blogs … yehhhhh.

The girls and I left Ireland at 6.45 Friday morning, but the whirlwind didn’t start until Saturday morning, with literally boats, trains, tubes and lastly buses to get us to Ally Pally. Just can’t begin to describe the fun we had (won’t mention money in case hubby is looking).

This little card was supposed to be posted before I went … oops … anyway here she is now it is my inspirational piece for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
Barbara has had lots of her fave images made into rubber which is great news for me because I just love stamping plus she sent me this adorable beauty called Paprika to play around with, you can buy her here.

Lozzer’s Sea Shell Box

Every year when my grandchildren come to visit for their summer holidays it is straight to the beach, I am convinced in a previous life they were all water babies. What is it that all children love to do while at the beach … uh huh collect sea shells so I have made this box for Lauren (Lozzer) to keep all her little treasures in. Found lots of little sea shells in one of the drawers in their bedroom so pinched a few to put on the lid of the box.

Fashionable Stamping has a beautiful theme this fortnight called Nautical so this box came in handy as my DT creation.

When Paula first suggested this challenge I only had a lighthouse stamp which Fliss used on her beautiful card but I managed to buy these pretty little Inkadinkado Stamps which are so cute. The little postcard image of the boy & girl has been stamped over with Versamark and clear embossing powder. Under the black flower is a flourish die, cut from cardboard then painted with acrylic, triple embossed then added mica powder, the shine is incredible, also did the same to the little star and the button in the middle of the bottle top.

Spring Time

I am a hopeless romantic and if someone could wave a magic wand to transport me back in time it would be the Victorian era of Crinoline Dresses and Southern Belles. … Gone With The Wind is my all time classic fave movie. Did you know the term Southern first came from Scotland in around 1470 and Belle is French (the feminine form of beau derived from a Latin word bellus meaning pretty ).

I was lucky enough to go to Texas a few years back and whilst there we flew to Louisiana loved every minute of it, got to go on a paddle steamer along the Mississippi river … just fabulous … (Andrew would love to be writing this post because he would tell you about by huge faux pas whilst walking along Bourbon Street … not going to happen lol). Did you know that Louisiana became a state in 1800 and it was Napoleon who sold it to the United States?

Dreaming over back to the Little Miss Muffett Challenge which is SPRING COLOURS – This gorgeous image of La Promenade au Jardin is soooo pretty … what I would give to get into a dress like that today!!! Used a bit of everything as usual Copics, Pro-Markers and watercolour pencils this time round, the papers are more from my stash which I can’t remember the name of … sorry.

Pop on over and see what the DT’s have created every card is a piece of art.

Nostalgic Memories

I had a mega wobble in my head … one side cried “no don’t use the paper” but luckily the sane side took over and said “use it all” so that is what I am doing from now on … No More Hoarding!!!

This paper is so old I think they have discontinued it, managed to find a link Die Cuts With A View but it says currently unavailable. At the time I bought they were one of those must haves but then got lost in the piles of paper that is slowly turning into a mountain (it’s nearly bigger than the house). Lots of stamping, inking, punching and embossing on my card with added tags which I adore making.
