Mirror Mirror In My Hand Who’s The Fairest In The Land

Off on my hols tonight … Portugal here I come.
Just one problem … who on earth would want to leave the UK and Ireland when we are having weather like this.
Trouble is you have to book these holidays early otherwise the prices just keep going up and up and unfortunately the UK/Irish weather is so unpredictable!!!

Whatever, still going to enjoy myself and long may this hot season last … tee hee can you tell I’m a sun worshiper!!

Mirror mirror in my hand who’s the fairest in the land … meeeeeee she says!!! … I know it should say on the wall … but it didn’t rhyme lol.

Had another playday yesterday with a wonderful friend and crafting buddy, three guesses what I made … you only need one I hear you say … It’s An Album yayyyy!!!

This album was made with envelopes and has the tags slotted into the top.
All the tags have been tied together so that over the years when people look at them they won’t get lost.

This also means that you can look at the first and last pages but you have to remove the tags to see the rest of the album.

The image on the front is from the Graphic 45 Le Romantique Collection.
Picked an image then fussy cut around before adding the skirt.
The skirt was made by cutting some beige linen into a square with my Fiskars Pinking Shears, stitched on two small pieces of left over lace. Did a small running stitch on one of the edges then pulled to make a gather. Added to the image then made a wool bow for some extra trim.

For the background papers of the album I used the Pirma A4 Nature Garden Collection … soooo pretty.

Not sure about the make of the frame stamp used on the tag … think it’s a Stampendous background but totally not sure. The leaves which were added around the edge is an Art Impressions Small Vine.

I had a day … way back whence … when I printed off lots of different images. Some on tissue paper, card, flimsy paper, coloured paper, water coloured paper anyway lots of different weights and mediums which I added to one of my many bit boxes. It is so handy to go to this box and pick an image for whatever particular project I am making.

The image below was already printed onto tissue paper, ripped and ready to go when needed … this is the time she was needed folks.
You can’t really see it but there are six tags in total, five left plain so that photos can be matted and layered onto them.

Owl Always Love You

Phew how lucky am I, just spent 10 days at Rhyl in the North of Wales with a crafting buddy of mine who has a mobile home there.

We arranged the holiday months and months ago and it was supposed to be a crafting retreat for both of us. Well as you can imagine we have had wall to wall sunshine which was hot, hot and more hot. No I am not complaining about the weather but because it was so hot we spent more time going to different sea-sides than we did crafting. So very little to show but at least I got my son and DIL’s Wedding Anniversary album completed. They have been married 20 years on Wednesday, 17th July which makes me feel really ancient now.

Lucky enough for me the album fits in with the theme of the challenge over at Fashionable Stamping which is Flora & Fauna.
This means anything flowery or anything with animals.

How sweet does the front of the album look with that huge hand made flower and the two die cut owls. Papers used are Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante.

The inside has a beautiful stamped image from Inkylicious which I water coloured with DI inks. The following page also has a handmade flower on it.
When you turn to the next two pages I embossed some cardstock with a postcard embossing folder then stamped a gorgeous image from one of Flonz Crafts which you can find here. Next to it is some tissue paper and below is a stamped sentiment.

Vintage Stamping Want To See Pretty In Pink

Another month has just flown by which means we have a new challenge for you at

Vintage Stamping Challenges

For this new challenge we would love to see anything pink.

Pretty In Pink

Now this challenge was right up my street I adore anything pink. The card I am showing is a commissioned card and the theme was … her name, age of 16 and “Golf”!!! The golf really stumped me because all I had was stuff for men. Lucky enough I went to Flonz’s Store and found exactly what I wanted. You can find the stamps I used here and here.
