Off on my hols tonight … Portugal here I come.
Just one problem … who on earth would want to leave the UK and Ireland when we are having weather like this.
Trouble is you have to book these holidays early otherwise the prices just keep going up and up and unfortunately the UK/Irish weather is so unpredictable!!!
Whatever, still going to enjoy myself and long may this hot season last … tee hee can you tell I’m a sun worshiper!!
Mirror mirror in my hand who’s the fairest in the land … meeeeeee she says!!! … I know it should say on the wall … but it didn’t rhyme lol.
Had another playday yesterday with a wonderful friend and crafting buddy, three guesses what I made … you only need one I hear you say … It’s An Album yayyyy!!!
This album was made with envelopes and has the tags slotted into the top.
All the tags have been tied together so that over the years when people look at them they won’t get lost.
This also means that you can look at the first and last pages but you have to remove the tags to see the rest of the album.
The image on the front is from the Graphic 45 Le Romantique Collection.
Picked an image then fussy cut around before adding the skirt.
The skirt was made by cutting some beige linen into a square with my Fiskars Pinking Shears, stitched on two small pieces of left over lace. Did a small running stitch on one of the edges then pulled to make a gather. Added to the image then made a wool bow for some extra trim.
For the background papers of the album I used the Pirma A4 Nature Garden Collection … soooo pretty.
Not sure about the make of the frame stamp used on the tag … think it’s a Stampendous background but totally not sure. The leaves which were added around the edge is an Art Impressions Small Vine.
I had a day … way back whence … when I printed off lots of different images. Some on tissue paper, card, flimsy paper, coloured paper, water coloured paper anyway lots of different weights and mediums which I added to one of my many bit boxes. It is so handy to go to this box and pick an image for whatever particular project I am making.
The image below was already printed onto tissue paper, ripped and ready to go when needed … this is the time she was needed folks.
You can’t really see it but there are six tags in total, five left plain so that photos can be matted and layered onto them.
