FSC Flying Things Tag And Holder

Fashionable Stamping Challenges this fortnight have a fabulous theme of Flying Things which was picked by the lovely Laura

This tag holder has been made so that there is enough room on the left hand side for holes to be made with the Cinch machine, then I can turn it into an album.  I have a few of these holders made but have to make one more before I can put together.

Have used a few of the new stamps which I bought at Ally Pally last weekend.

Fabulous day out, as per usual.  This time I managed to persuade my SIL Irene to go and also met up with Maria, Sandra and Pat.  What a day we all had, maddest ever.

I was so sorry I missed meeting up with Alison from Words and Pictures (which was such a shame).  I decided that this time round I needed a true break so made the decision not to pick up my e-mails whilst away.  Guess who missed Alison’s mail … isn’t it always the way … next time Alison.

I have also stamped onto the back of the tag holder, you know me and stamping, just can’t get enough of it!!!

I would love it if you hopped on over to see all the DT’s work as they are simply stunning.  Also don’t forget that the winner of this challenge has $20 to choose anything they like from Flonz’s store.

A Cute Just For You Card

Vintage Stamping Challenges has an Anything Goes for their new challenge this month.

The lovely Dot picked the theme for this month.   Now who doesn’t like an anything goes.

Just For You 1Just For You 2

Stamped an image which came from Flonzcrafts twice.  Once on a pink piece of paper the second onto a cream piece of cardstock then cut out and coloured.  Next with a piece of cardstock I made the background to place them on.

To enter this months challenge just click Mr Linky at the bottom of the VSC web page and maybe it could be you who wins the $20 from Flonz’s store. Please visit the DT’s blogs for more inspiration and also it would be nice to leave them some love.

Roll Out Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer

Have you ever bought anything … just because.  Well that is how I came to buy this single sheet of 12 x 12 paper.  Didn’t have a clue what I was going to do with it but totally fell in love with the tranquil image of her watering the flowers.  Her face looks full of hope so maybe I too am hoping for a repeat of those luxurious lazy hazy days of Summer we had last year.

Now that takes me nicely to Our Creative Corner whose April challenge is “With A Song In Your Heart” chosen by the amazing Alison.

My chosen song is an oldies favourite by the late great Nat King Cole and just by clicking on the link you can listen to Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer.

The paper was sitting on my desk and so was the image when I was on my way to bed.  Popped into the craft room whilst waiting for Andrew to walk the fur babies.

Now who knows how a crafters mind works.

Beside the paper and image was my SU glue so what did I do … slathered glue all over the image, cut the paper into four 6 x 6 squares and placed the image behind the one with the beautiful picture.  Placed a heavy book on top and then went to bed.

In the morning I spritzed water over the spot where the image was and proceeded to rub away at the paper very gently.

Haven’t done a lot of image transfer (maybe because I have never been happy with the results) and also everything I have read about it says that you should use an inkjet printer.  Guess who has a laser printer.  This time round I am ecstatic with the results.

So pleased with the result but couldn’t understand why she had writing on her face when the night before there was none.  Took me a while to realise that the paper was double sided and had script on the other side.  What a happy accident this was and if I had realised I would have taken more care of where I had placed my image.  Can’t wait to experiment with other double sided papers but the only thing is that the script comes out mirror imaged.  To make her pop even more I sprayed lightly with a spray and shine from Crafters Companion.

Used other mediums for enhancement including this little piece of die cut which was left over from this card here.  I did tell you that everything went in one of my bit boxes.  Spread a little silver translucent paint just around the top left hand corner of the image and paper.   The quote is a stamp from Indigo Blu.
