Craft Tool Holder From Recycled Jumbo Toilet Roll

Hubby brought a few jumbo sized toilet roll holders home from work for me and I recycled into this craft tools holder.

The four items in the holder are what I am always searching for on my desk.  I use them so often and consequently they are the things I lose under other crafting goodies on my desk.  Now I have this little gem in front of me I am hoping they won’t get lost again!!!

Used papers, paints, inks, molding paste, dies, stamps, edging punch and gilding wax.

This shows how large the jumbo toilet rolls are and because they are for industrial use they are so much sturdier than the normal toilet roll.

Favourite Go To Stamp At FSC

Stamping, fussy cutting, dry embossing, inking, faux leathering, sanding, die cutting and what do we get … just another day in the life of an FSC challenge.  What more could a girl ask for.  So much fun in one little project.

Whilst Skyping with Irene the other day I started a little book with a very pretty cover which was made with the faux leather technique

To begin with there was a little problem with this challenge as my collection of stamps makes it very hard for me to choose a particular favourite one to go to and I have to admit that at first I was a little stumped.  (Love them all how could I choose a fave.)  Then all of a sudden the penny dropped and I new which was my ‘favourite go to stamp’.

When doing any of my background pages a script stamp is invariably what I make a bee line for.  Doesn’t matter which one as long as it’s script.

Here are a couple of the pages inside my little book and if you look closely at the background pages I am sure you will see what I am talking about.

There are loads more pages in the book but as usual no time to take a pic of them all.

I would love it if you hopped on over to see all the DT’s work as they are simply stunning.  Also don’t forget that the winner of this challenge has $20 to choose anything they like from Flonz’s store.

Playtime Happy Tag

This is just a playtime tag so no long spiel about how it was made because everyone knows how long it takes to read posts and time is very precious to us all.

So just look and enjoy.

I am happy to answer any questions if there is something about the tag that you would like to know.

Soft Delicate Hues Of Blue

It’s been a long time since I did any journaling pages so I decided to give the little canvas book that I made an airing.  You can see the book here.

FSC Meets Shirl’s Class

Fashionable Stamping Challenges this fortnight have a theme of  “Springtime” which was picked by ME.  Combined two birds with one stone at FSC this fortnight.

It’s been quite a while since I have shown what the girls have made in my Saturday class and because everything looks vibrant and sunny I decided to add as my DT piece.

Started teaching them scrapbooking a while back and below is the page that we made yesterday.  Used a mask called Heart Frame it’s from Creative Expressions.  This mask is perfect for scrapbooking because when inked through it leaves a frame and the girls are able to add their photos later.  Also left a space for their journalling.

I am teaching the girls that their stamps are not just for cardmaking but they can be incorporated into their scrapbooking as well.  As you can see loads of stamping on this page.  We also used the new bird stamp from Sheena Douglas.  Love this stamp to bits.  It also has a die that matches.

Because my group are quite advanced, just doing a scrapbook page is not enough so I show them how to create a card using all the same elements that we used on the page.

A Selection Of Stamped Images

Had a craft time session with Irene this afternoon where I used a selection of some new stamps which I bought at the Craft Barn.

The monkey image from Katzelkraft has been on my wish list for ages but could not believe my luck when I saw it in the reduced bin.  Then I saw another set of stamps which I have had my eye on for some time (Dandy Robot) but sadly these were not in the reduced bin.
