Tag Art

Whilst in my craft room watching Andy and Tracy on Hochanda yesterday, saw a tag that I had started but not finished so decided to have a play with it.

All About The Leftovers

It wasn’t just about the cards in the class on Saturday but also with regards to the leftover paint and ink which is usually always left on the craft sheet.

The girls were asked to bring along their Art journals so they could mop up their leftovers in it.

This also gave the girls homework.  I asked them to finish their journal pages at home, bring back next week, then we could see how each completed their pages.

My finished pages, hopefully it’s a little inspiration, especially for Phil,  lol … (she’ll understand).  Worked on my mop up pages after the class had finished.

These are the two cards I taught in the class.

FSC Just Loves To Be Feminine

For this month’s challenge  FSC says “Make It Feminine” which the lovely Avril picked as her theme.

This adorable little girl is just about my favourite stamp of all time.  She must be the most well used in my collection.

A very simple card from me today … oops I was just about to say … no mixed media in sight … which would be silly right because as we all know mixed media is a broad definition that covers many arts and crafts.

Started by making a frame with a Spellbinders die then embossed with a folder.

Stamped the I Love Paris onto some coloured cardstock and placed behind the frame.  To finish I layered the other stamps over the top.

Would really love it if you hopped on over to see all the DT’s work as they are simply stunning.

Ink Art Designs Etsy Shop is sponsoring FSC and they will be offering a stamp for the winner of each new challenge.

Vintage Shabby Chic Frame

Back to reality after our fabulous holiday, the first thing that greeted us was the ceiling in the hallway nearly falling down

Didn’t even faze me, I felt so chilled and relaxed that it just went over my head (lol excuse the pun).

Our son JP plus Clare, Alex and Lauren decided to visit for a holiday last week and OMG they were all little troupers.

He repaired the ceiling and the rest of the family dived in and brought the garden up to scratch.  We also had a few pot holes in the driveway so my grandson Alex got stuck in and repaired these.  Lauren also did her bit by keeping both the fur babies amused.

One of the hi-lights of the week was a fabulous day in Dublin last Tuesday but sadly they are back home now and I miss them tremendously.

Back to the Australian holiday.

When driving from Melbourne we called into the most amazing craft shop called Create On Ormond in Geelong- bought a few goodies plus two wooden frames.

Started altering my frame at Cockatoo Down Farm … the craft retreat we went to (a whole weekend of crafting heaven and fabulous company).

Turned my frame to the back and used the recessed side to work on.

Finished her off when I got home with Shabby White Frantage and other elements.
