Thinking Of Each & Everyone Of You This Christmas

This is what we have all been waiting for … wahoo – it’s Christmas!!!

Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

Have fun with all those pressies but lets not forget to spare a heartfelt thought to all those who won’t be with their loved ones today.

Christmas Tag #12 – Funkie Junky Style

#1 tag is here with the rules. Linda’s # 12 tag and the Funkie Junkie Boutique is here.

What better way to finish Linda’s 12 tags of Christmas than showing #12 on the actual 12th day. The inspiration for this one came from Linda’s stars and also the colour palette. Lucky me got to use another of Tim’s stencils … no prizes for guessing which one!!

That completes all of my Christmas tags and you can see everyone of them … here

This final tag has had the usual paint, crackle, embossing, frantage, tissue paper, molding paste etc…

Printed all the images onto tissue paper and the sentiment. In GIMP I cut and pasted the Santa image onto the sentiment, which is a digi from Whimsey Designs. I sent Santa to the back and overlapped the sentiment then printed onto white tissue. The boy and girl image is from a Joanna Sheen Victorian Christmas CD which I have had forever. Before printing this image onto tissue I changed it from plain to a canvas effect this gave it a more olde worlde look.

Lauren’s Forgotten Book

Started hunting for some material which I desperately needed when I came across this little book which was started over a year ago with my granddaughter Lauren. Material forgotten about at this stage.

Lauren wanted to learn how to sew and this is what she wanted to make. We both started off with some hessian cloth or burlap as it’s also known for the outside. Used a striped material for the inner and stitched to the hessian. Lauren lost interest at this stage so I put it away ready to finish later.

Nearly finished the inside I still want to put in a few pages for additional photos to be added but have to leave it again until I have finished the project which I needed the material for in the first place.

Double Explosion Card

I have just had two weeks of pure bliss, a very busy pure bliss but oh so enjoyable … pray tell I hear you say … wellllll …
… my Grandchildren, Son and DIL Claire have all been here to stay for their usual summer break and what a fabulous time for us all. They went home yesterday and left us with such a quiet house which will take some time to get used to again. Miss them so much already sigh….

Hence no blogging or housework … all to catch up on, not looking forward to the housework part!!!!

Whilst here it was mine & Andrew’s 30th Wedding Anniversary. Sneaky Claire and Andrew between them, booked for us all to go away for a mini break to the New Park Hotel in Kilkenny. The weekend was absolutely glorious and I do mean glorious (sun included). When the time came to pay my Son and Claire paid for it all. The memory of my 30th Anniversary is going to stay with me forever especially when I make my album to look back on as I have loads and loads of photos to bore you all with.

Amber, Claire and myself had lots of little crafting slots where we managed to have a play with lots of things and Amber has gone home buzzing with ideas for her art at school.

I only just managed to get this card made for my class yesterday a really quick one with not to much work involved.
The photo doesn’t do the inside vellum explosion justice as the vellum is gold embossed and really sparkles and shines, the photo makes it look a dirty brown

First made this type of card can you believe 1st July 2010 which you can see here and below.
This is a larger card than the one above and the inside explosion is paper not vellum.

Nostalgic Memories

I had a mega wobble in my head … one side cried “no don’t use the paper” but luckily the sane side took over and said “use it all” so that is what I am doing from now on … No More Hoarding!!!

This paper is so old I think they have discontinued it, managed to find a link Die Cuts With A View but it says currently unavailable. At the time I bought they were one of those must haves but then got lost in the piles of paper that is slowly turning into a mountain (it’s nearly bigger than the house). Lots of stamping, inking, punching and embossing on my card with added tags which I adore making.

FSC Inspiration Meets LMMS Inspiration

Not often this happens but today I have two cards to show you one is for Fashionable Stamping Challenges and the other is for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. First up is my LMM card which is still following the Ooh La La Paris theme until the end of this month and for this I have used several of Barbara’s digi images not only that check out her new line which are in RUBBER … yep you heard right girls she is into rubber 😯 … no silly not Barbara herself 😀 on that note let’s get back to the card 😎 How pleased am I because as you know stamping is my first love … eh apart from Andrew … eh the grandchildren, my son, Penny, Byron!!!!

These 4 little ladies are all sooo pretty just look for everyone of them here … go on you know you want to.
My card has been stitched around the edge also stitched the lace but when you open the flap it reveals a sentiment and another little paper pieced hat. What do you do when you want to display lots of stamping … that’s easy just throw it all into the mix that’s exactly what I did for the inside … lots of stamping inspiration, but you will have to come back on Wednesday because LMMS has another inspiration day for you and all will be revealed then!! Just a little heads up here, even though I have done lots of stamping there is not a torn, distressed or inked up edge anywhere …

Nearly forgot to say don’t forget to visit Three Companies Team Up because the talent displayed from all the different Design Teams is mega mind blowing.

Now onto my Fashionable Stamping card … utterly and totally different …that’s me just can’t stick to any particular medium of craftingmainly pretty and cute … love absolutely everything I can get my hands on to experiment with … lots of disasters but you have to try 😥

Ellie picked the theme this week for FSC and she wanted to see everyone’s take on Make It For A Child. My card has been stamped, embossed with white then brayered over with TH Victorian Velvet. Cut the finished piece with a nestie then layered back up again.

Shhhhh don’t tell the Fashionettes this but she was my piece for last fortnights challenge and I just didn’t have time to post … whoops 😳 but she fits perfectly into this fortnights challenge hooray!!

Now all you need to do is pop on over to the FSC blog and leave lots of love for my other fabulous teemies … oh while you’re there you might as well enter your creation as well tee hee.

Christmas Tag

010392010391

Wahoo love this snow thing, Andrew has been home all week so it gave me license to play and play (shared the housework) ha ha. Have got a few projects to show you over the coming few days so keep those peepers open …. here is the first a Christmas Tag.

Lots of stamping, inking, embossing, punching stitching, glimmer misting, dry embossing in fact everything except the kitchen sink.

Printed the adorable Santa image onto vellum and the beautiful lace which has been stitched around the Santa was white until I glimmer misted it, as with the rope wheel I made.

Flower border was cut with a Spellbinders Grand Die Daisy and covered with loads of the TH black soot ink, while still wet threw loads of holographic embossing powder on it and also the edges of the tag, then heat embossed. It all added up to lots of mess but great fun …. and with both of us doing the housework …. who cared.

All the DT’s have come up with some fantastic projects as always, and will surely inspire you, don’t forget to check out their blogs on the right hand side bar to see what else they have been up to as they are amazingly talented. You will notice Tammy is missing for this challenge, Tammy has been unwell and will retun for challenge #5, get well soon, we all miss you.

For my first project on Let’s Ink it Up I have made a Waterfall Memory Album …. (lots of photos) …. the first photo is the front of the album and then just like a waterfall card you pull the ribbon and the pages flip over. All the pages which are blank are where I am going to put photos.

This was a marathon project with lots of stamping, colouring, glimmer misting, distressing, ripping, tearing, reverse masking, flower soft, rub-ons, punches, stitching, micro beads and anything else I could lay my hands on, last but not least they are all in those beautiful Autumn colours for the challenge. I hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making and can’t wait to add my photos.

Oops forgot to say I have two more piccies to take of the album but they will have to wait until light is better tomorrow …. Last two posted enjoy.

Monochromatic Christmas

010282010290

Thanks Jenny and Linda for such a fabulous crafting day last week we had such a fun time but poor Jenny had a bad head for most of the day so she made an appointment with the opticians and yep glasses were needed. They look absolutely gorgeous Jenny so stop moaning about them. Like all crafters they are so generous with their goodies and I found these beautiful pearl and glass beads and also these new Craftwork cards in their stash …. aren’t they just sooo divine.

Threaded the beads onto cotton then made a spinner card …. ooo it looks so yummy and elegant. The aperture is made with a nestie and papers are also Craftwork Cards. Punched a snowflake edge onto the vellum then added black ribbon. The image inside is from the Joanna Sheen Silhouette CD.
