Flicking And Dripping White Paint

Crafty friend came to stay last weekend where she joined in with my class.  As you can imagine it was chaos but very enjoyable and hugely funny.  It sure cheered me up I can tell you.

Whilst waiting for the class to start we had a play around in my craft room with some new PB stamps of mine.  We inked onto watercolour card before stamping the flowers.

Finally finished my piece by adding a Scribbly Bird stamp by Dina Wakley which I coloured with chalk inks and paint.  Dribbled white acrylic paint in the right hand corner before flicking with more paint.

I am sure Crafty friend hasn’t even looked at hers yet let alone finished it!!!

The close up shows the stencilled flowers and the modelling paste which I coloured over the top.

This is the journal page which the girls and crafty friend made in the class, very different from the above make.  Much more vibrant and very Autumnal looking.

How different each journal page looked from the next.  We used Gelatos for the background colours with loads of stamping and stencilling.

Well done girls by the time we had finished each page looked stunning.

Cards For Him And Her Plus A Journal Project

Another fabulous sunny day outside which put me in the mood to show last week’s class cards and also the project we will be making tomorrow.

I love to rip and tear and also love using different colours of ink when stamping so this technique was perfect.

Again I showed how you can make a very feminine card and also one for a man.

With this one we also used the triple embossing technique for the frame.

Ahead of myself here as below I am showing what the girls are creating tomorrow.

They have all bought journalling books and I know they are all going to have fun learning how to fill them with some amazing artwork.

Gesso, washi tape, stamps, masks and Gelatos are the main ingredients of the pages below.

I am sure everyone will be amazed with the magical way the gelatos blend superbly into the background when used with baby wipes.

Beer Mat Album

Didn’t realise how long ago it was that I last made a Beer Mat Album, over 2 years ago.  My last one which you can see here was a Beer Mat Brag book,  coincidentally it was also for another FSC New Year challenge … da da da da – spooky!!!

Fashionable Stamping Challenges starts off the New Year with a theme of  “Something New” which was picked by my fabby teamie sister Esther.  This could be new stash, new technique or even a new resolution which you may have made (and already broken lol)!!!!

Still on a roll with my new Gelatos but this time I have used them to cover the beer mats.  Aged the frame with a sprinkling of different distressed embossing powders before adding the image.  The corrugated background was coloured with Gelatos.

Not going to bore you too much about how it was made because time is such a precious thing to us all.

“A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words”

Hopefully my pics tell a story just as well as a large amount of descriptive text.

One thing which I will tell you is that Gelatos seem to work better with a primed surface, Gesso being my preferred medium of choice.

(Irene told me the tip about the Gesso.)

I have used a mixture of new and old stamps, dies and even some new masks which gives a different feel to each page.

Last page of the ‘Beer Mini’ which uses one of my new Christmas stamps, isn’t she just divine?

I would love it if you hopped on over to see all the DT’s work as they are simply stunning.  Also don’t forget that the winner of this challenge has $20 to choose anything they like from Flonz’s store.

Gelatos Playtime

I have Irene to thank for introducing me to Gelatos.  Seen them around blogland but I really thought just another paint gadget … wrong!!!  They are fantastic and so easy to use.  Me and I are having a Skype session today and guess what we will be using??

Below is another make using the gelatos for the background.
