Still In A Vibrant Mood

There is nothing better than waking up to wall to wall sunshine, your whole mood instantly changes and everything is right with the world.

Today I am showcasing a card that the girls made in the class on Saturday.  I made this card years ago (8 years or more) but didn’t like it very much because I thought it didn’t sit properly.  Recently came across my template and after a bit of tweaking I got it to stand properly.

The class actually made their own template of the card which they could take home and then they went on to make another which they decorated.

The difference with this week’s class was that they had no finished card to copy because I deliberately didn’t decorate mine.  I wanted to see them bouncing ideas off each other so gave them everything they needed to decorate and left them to it.  All went well and each card looked amazing.  They also made an envelope to match with the SU Envelope maker.  Love this piece of equipment.

Below is my finished make (vibrant again) which is laying flat ready to go into the envelope, hope the girls like it.  I think everything looks more professional when the envelope matches the card.

Interestingly enough not one of the girls got the inks out to do the edges.  Going to have to work on this in future classes.

Not sure what this card should be called but to me it looks like a topper in a box.

It pops into the envelope flat for posting but below you can see what it looks like when taken from the envelope and displayed for all to see.

All stamps are from SU except for the dress stamp which is a very old wooden one from Hobby Art which I think is discontinued!!!  Paper pieced the dress and then lightly stamped over.
