Easel Card

Little Miss Muffet time and the challenge this fortnight is a real easy peasy one we want to see an Easel or Step Shaped Cards … see said it was easy.

My easel card has a little twist because the top half opens and becomes a gatefold.
To keep the gatefold closed I have added little magnet discs underneath the papers.

Haven’t finished embellishing the inside because this has been made with a wonderful persons birthday in mind and I want to add some personnel sentiments later. Used Basic Grey papers called Eva and fussy cut the peacock because I thought it looked so pretty. Made one of my concertina butterflies … still addicted to these but have to sit on my hands otherwise they would be on every card 😆 stamped a butterfly image behind this time that way I didn’t have to add any antennas myself. If you look on the left hand side of my side bar you can find the details of the butterfly there.

Used another of my fave images called … La Jeune Fille à l’eventail … bit of a mouthful, think it’s her name and something to do with a fan … eh don’t quote me though. Coloured with Copics, Pro Markers and a bit of water colouring … think you know me by now I throw just about everything at it.

Romance Is In The Air Today

29th February 2012 … Leap Year Girlies and today’s the day when you can propose to the man of your dreams!!!

Wonder who Elisabeth Louise Hatter will be asking for their hand in marriage???
All the LMM teemies have been showcasing lots of inspiration in the month of February and today I am showing the inside and the back of a card which was posted earlier.

Everything has been thrown into this one because it is being sent to a very special and amazing girl… AMBER. She absolutely adores stamping, colouring and of course fashion so this card has everything that any girlie would love.

Today is also reveal time for Three Companies Team Up

I have already shown the front of the card but have put it in again in case you didn’t see it first time round … if you didn’t where were you 😆

Papers – My Mind’s Eye – All Spice
Stamps: LMMS – Rubber & Digi …. JustRite – Greetings From Paris …. Whimsy – Vintage Travel Postage …. Stampin Up – Vintage Vogue …. Art Impressions – Teeny Tiny Flowers …. Artemio – Paris Vintage and Artemio Butterfly Collage.

FSC Inspiration Meets LMMS Inspiration

Not often this happens but today I have two cards to show you one is for Fashionable Stamping Challenges and the other is for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. First up is my LMM card which is still following the Ooh La La Paris theme until the end of this month and for this I have used several of Barbara’s digi images not only that check out her new line which are in RUBBER … yep you heard right girls she is into rubber 😯 … no silly not Barbara herself 😀 on that note let’s get back to the card 😎 How pleased am I because as you know stamping is my first love … eh apart from Andrew … eh the grandchildren, my son, Penny, Byron!!!!

These 4 little ladies are all sooo pretty just look for everyone of them here … go on you know you want to.
My card has been stitched around the edge also stitched the lace but when you open the flap it reveals a sentiment and another little paper pieced hat. What do you do when you want to display lots of stamping … that’s easy just throw it all into the mix that’s exactly what I did for the inside … lots of stamping inspiration, but you will have to come back on Wednesday because LMMS has another inspiration day for you and all will be revealed then!! Just a little heads up here, even though I have done lots of stamping there is not a torn, distressed or inked up edge anywhere …

Nearly forgot to say don’t forget to visit Three Companies Team Up because the talent displayed from all the different Design Teams is mega mind blowing.

Now onto my Fashionable Stamping card … utterly and totally different …that’s me just can’t stick to any particular medium of craftingmainly pretty and cute … love absolutely everything I can get my hands on to experiment with … lots of disasters but you have to try 😥

Ellie picked the theme this week for FSC and she wanted to see everyone’s take on Make It For A Child. My card has been stamped, embossed with white then brayered over with TH Victorian Velvet. Cut the finished piece with a nestie then layered back up again.

Shhhhh don’t tell the Fashionettes this but she was my piece for last fortnights challenge and I just didn’t have time to post … whoops 😳 but she fits perfectly into this fortnights challenge hooray!!

Now all you need to do is pop on over to the FSC blog and leave lots of love for my other fabulous teemies … oh while you’re there you might as well enter your creation as well tee hee.

START AT THE BEGINNING!

Otherwise you should have arrived from Jen J.

I chose to make an easel card with an image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and digi images from Make It Crafty.

Nora Claire Hatter has just had a coffee at the Cafe De Paris and is so excited because she has a new bike. Both images are from the new range at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. The sentiment plus the table and chairs are the new images from Make It Crafty.

My second card is a gatefold using the new Whimsey Stamps, chipboard embellishments from Make It Crafty and another adorable image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I painted the Chipboard Embellishment (MIC) white then daubed pink paint through some sequin waste which made some beautiful dots before I adhered it to one of the new Whimsey Stamps Sentiments.

PRIZES & SURPISES & A CHALLENGE!!

Make sure you comment along the way for a chance at winning a few extra goodies and once you reach the end, we’ll share all the details on the prizes you can win and we even have a fun challenge you can enter which could win you a feature in the upcoming Whimsy Magazine! Wooohoo!

MIC Meets SS

Lion 4Lion 41What a yuk last few days for everyone – not even going to say the dreaded word of who’s fault it was, suffice to say it began with B

I have combined two challenges with this card – Sentimental Sundays meets Make It Colouful.

SS this week want to see your Handmade Flowers and MIC want to see your Dotty Backgrounds

The beautiful sentiment on my easel card is one from Raindrop Echo Designs the Floral Haven Sentiments.
I mixed and matched two of the sentiments from this set to make the beautiful sentiment below,
and the adorable image is Courageous Carl from Crissy’s Art & Heart both are from Whimpsy Stamps.
Background image is from Make It Crafty from The Secret Garden collection called Daffodil Dell. Trust me there is a dotty background there.

Papers used are We R Memory Keepers – Carl and Daffodil Dell have been watercoloured.
The three large silk flowers have been heated so they melt and go all crinkly, my little white flower is a piece of salvage edged material.

Last week at Sentimental Sundays we celebrated our first anniversary and we had a mini blog hop.
All the DT’s who participated were allowed to give away a digital sentiment of the winner’s choice from Raindrop Echo Designs.

The winner from my blog is – MARSHA – congratulations Marsha , please email us at sentimentalsundays@raindropecho.com
with your choice of digital sentiment set from Raindrop Echo Designs. Please remember to put – Blog Hop Winner – in the subject line.

Black With A Splash Of Red

Whinging time … this is way out of my comfort zone, but had to give it a try and all I can say is … must try harder.
Added diamond glaze to her … hair, eye patch, sword and boots … looks great on the card, all black and vinyl looking, very saucy
but for some reason looked naff when I took the photo, came out grey instead of black … tooooo lazy to take another photo.

3 freebies of your choosing … great eh.
The image I chose to use is Snuggle Tiny Tia and the flowers are an image from Make It Crafty called Wild Flowers.

Only watercolours were used for the hair and then added glossy accents for a beautiful shine.
