Happy Boxing Day

010417010419010418

Happy Boxing Day to everyone, hope you all got everything you wanted for Christmas and more.

Home with the family and enjoying every single minute of Christmas. It was so magical yesterday, seeing Amber, Alex and Lauren opening their presents.

At one point there were six adults in the kitchen helping with the dinner …. talk about too many cooks spoil the broth …. but this wasn’t the case …. dinner was delicious and more.

One moment was truly magical and will stay in my heart forever, Alex (only 10) bought his mum a beautiful bracelet …. he wrapped the pressie and put it under the tree without a word to anyone. When Clare opened the present she adored it, the bracelet was stunning …. what makes it so amazing is that Clare had told him off during the week for taking money out of his moneybox, she thought he had spent the money on junk. It turns out the money was for his mum’s bracelet and he took the telling off without saying a word …. well as you can imagine I had tears in my eyes …. awwww he reminds me so much of my son.

Onto my card, Sentimental Sundays Challenge this week is New Baby. Made a sweet little tag with a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs …. I used the welcome and a cute little baby sentiment, you can find them at Whimsy Stamps it is sooo cute. You will find so much more inspiration from the other DT members please click onto their individual blogs on the right side bar. While adding your creation don’t forget to pick up your freebie digi sentiments.

Frilly Milly Cupcake

010269010268010267010266

The girls over at My Partner in Crafting Crime have the challenge of Food and Drink and what better image is there than Frilly Milly Cupcake from Pink Petticoat.

Made a Recipe Card with vellum over the top and printed Milly onto my new Magnolia DooHickey’s Vintage Tag, attached it with a strand of pearls. Milly’s clothes are paper pieced with Pink Petticoat papers and the cherry frills are dotted with red liquid pearls. Oh so difficult to try and hold back the vellum while taking a photo but wanted to show the detail inside of the cupcakes which have been decorated with micro beads.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge want to see Paper Piecing for their challenge this week.

Hope you all enjoy.

Spinner Card

010263010262

Short and sweet today as I am off to Marie’s for a girlie crafting day, just have time to post this card before I set off.

I really enjoyed making this card as I used another favourite image from Pink Petticoat called Baby Elephant, coloured in with copics, dottie backing paper and sentiment is also PP.

Put the core card through a cuttlebug folder and then sanded over the top, stamped a little hand onto the swinging circle, added lots of liquid pearls and diamond stickles. Border punches are Anna Griffin.

Home Alone

First day back blogging in a while and oh so sad the family have all gone home back to the UK and their summer holidays here in Ireland are over until next year. The time flew by too fast as usual and now the house is just oh so quiet without them, dear Penny is wandering around looking for all her little puppies and can’t make out where they have gone. What better way is there to cheer a girl up than to make a card. The Shabby Tea Room has another gorgeous challenge this week and the image reminds me of the bedroom I used to dream of having as a little girl …. wasn’t ever going to happen I have six brothers and two sisters…. Whenever I moved and decorated my bedroom it has always been pink. Andrew can even quote my fave colour if anyone had to ask him.

The Delicate Cottage Rose

Bunny Zoe’s Crafts – Their challenge this month is Vintage
Die Cut Dreams Challenge – Soft Shades of Vintage

Here is my card with an absolutely adorable image from Pink Petticoat which as you know I can’t get enough of, papers are Anna Griffin and again lots of distressing and French knots. I did the reverse masking technique on the dress and stamped with a rose image. Hope you enjoy.

Class Card

010222

Hi all thought I would share the card we made in class last week.

We triple embossed the image on the nestie – I was sooo happy with all the cards because none of the images cracked. Papers are from Pink Petticoat and used the same paper for the inside of the brad.

Little Princess

Gosh first of June tomorrow …. where oh where has this month gone. Three weeks time and we are going to have the longest day and we all know what that means …. the days start to get shorter.

I can remember when I used to sit outside of an evening in the Summer until midnight and it was still warm and light. Have not done that in a long while …. ah well as they say those were the days….

Onto my DT card for the Crafty Angels – this week it’s a sketch.

Bought the magnolia stamp from the Crafty Angels online shop and also the beautiful rose in the middle of the bottle top. Yep made a brad lookalike from a bottle top, filled the middle with diamond glaze and put the rose in when it was still wet. Looks quite good …. as usual photo doesn’t do it justice. Made lots of french knots around the magnolia image. Papers from my favourite digi download Pink Petticoat.

Her Shyness

Just a complete sucker for cute images. Can’t believe I have only just found this image isn’t she gorgeous? Wanted to enter the challenge for Colour Create …. not sure if I am too late, they want to see the colours Soft Green & Light Aqua on your card and started looking at the DT’s blogs where I came across Di’s Digi Downloads where she can be bought …. you really must go and see all the sample cards as well they are just going to blow you away. Anyway bought a few so you know what will be coming up on my cards in the next few weeks. I’m sure you can recognise the papers by now they are from Pink Petticoat one of my favourite digi shops.

Look at the fret work on the card …. I am totally a happy bunny at the moment because I have also learnt how to put lovely lattice work directly onto my card with the Cricut Expression. Andrew is also pleased that I am finally using it – only taken me 3 years. Will be posting three more cards when I take the pictures and all with lovely new lattice work.

First Cavendish Lady

010177010176

What a week….yuk… don’t you just hate being sick. Still can’t get home to see my grandchildren until I have had my new meds….can’t have those until I get rid of this head cold…..

Must be improving though because I actually felt like making a card today….took all day…..but in the end this is what I came up with.

Bought some new Kanban stamps from QVC…The collection is called The Cavandish Ladies….six ladies in all and lots of sentiments. There are two sets…Day At The Races and Putting On The Ritz. This lovely lady is from the Day At The Races.

Made a tissue flower but this time I stamped and embossed onto the tissue with different sized flower stamps from Hero Arts. This made the flower quite sturdy looking and you wouldn’t realise it was tissue paper until you feel it. Papers from Pink Petticoat.

Getting used to my Pro Markers and enjoyed colouring her in.
