Dressed For The Best

Had a play around whilst in the UK with this new stamp which you can buy here.
The background has been created using my fave play-around cardstock at the moment … cereal boxes.
I tend to make toppers at the moment because it is easier to grab a topper when I need to make a quick card, this topper is the same size as the embossing folder I used which is just a perfect fit for most cards.

Clare had paint pots left on the side in the utility room after her painting spree in the bedroom and the kids play room so I experimented with some new crackle glaze I bought in Sainsbury’s. You have to use this crackle glaze with emulsion paints which was perfect. Not sure what the colours were called but they are a greeeny/blue and pink plus everything crackled perfectly. Put the card through a harlequin embossing folder then stamped with a flourish swirly thingy stamp … have to call it that because it was an old one of Clare’s with no markings to say where it came from.

The cotton cord was frayed and made into a bow of sorts. Couldn’t colour the image properly because sadly Clare doesn’t have many markers to play with … let’s rephrase that shall we … she has none!!! The button was raided from her tin and I again experimented with seam binding bought from C & C, lucky enough Amber had some spray inks on hand which kinda matched … her grandma gave her the inks (me) 😀 Will show another example of what I have made with this same stamp tomorrow.
