Times Gone By

Over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges this fortnight the theme is

Times Gone By

I am sure this is everyone’s fave theme for stamping as it allows you to make virtually anything you like. Dot has added lots of info for your inspiration which led me to put a little info of my own below.

I chose to show you the last two pages of an album I have made which shows two pics on tags … one of a much younger Andrew in fancy dress with his mates and one of Andrew’s Dad (Tom) sitting on the lap of his parents.

Also want to bore you with a little piece about Andrew’s Dad who sadly isn’t with us any more but can you believe the family only learnt this piece of info at his funeral.

Tom’s mum married a Canadian but he went back to Canada without her and she followed later.
She booked her passage to Canada to be with her husband but at the last minute she couldn’t go because she became ill so she cancelled and booked another passage for later.

Thank goodness she did her first voyage would have been on the …

TITANIC which sank on 15th April 1912 – can imagine what would have happened … no Tom … no Andrew.

Anyway she eventually made it to Canada and into the arms of her husband, as you can guess, Tom was born in 1913.
The First World War broke out and Tom’s dad had to go and do his bit, that left Tom’s mother all alone in Canada so she decided to book a passage home to England and take Tom with her.

Can you believe what happened she broke her arm so could not make the crossing so again she cancelled and made another booking for later.

Wait for it … can you guess what was the name of the ocean liner she cancelled to go home on …

LUCITANIA – which was torpedoed and sank on 7th May 1915 – again can you imagine … no Tom … no Andrew.
How amazing was that, Andrew’s grandmother was definitely meant to be on this earth and here is the pic of Tom with his parents … awww

Ann-Kristine Hatter

!! Hooray – it’s a SALE !!
Barbara is out of town for the rest of this week so orders will not be filled until Sunday evening.

Just include your choice in the comments section of the order and she will include it with the purchase! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Little Miss Muffet Stamps have two more new releases for you today they are Anna-Kristine Hatter & Chloe.
For my Tear-Drop shaped card I chose Anna-Kristine Hattter because I love the Hatter Girls .

Coloured Anna-Kristina and the hats with TH distress inks, also did reverse masking on the images then stamped and embossed with various little stamps.
How tight am I, the whites of the flowers were made with the cheapest of cheap white copy paper.
White part of little flower was made with โ‚ฌ2 shredding scissors and white part of the larger flower I made a scored pin-wheel then punched the edges with a MS punch.

New Baby In The Family

Me again just thought you would like a quick look at the new arrival to our family … his name is Byron and he is just the cutest little guy you have ever seen. Penny, at the moment is not amused … playing hard to get me thinks, but as long as Byron keeps looking at her with those adorable eyes he will win her heart.

I know naughty Shirley … Byron on the table … tut tut … trust me it is a one off but he looked so cute just had to take the pics.

Story Time

Little Miss Muffet New Release Time and SARAH is my chosen image … you know me though I have added two more images to the picture and they are SPARKS the Guinea Pig & Mouse. Sarah is reading a story to both but are they interested … not one teensy weensy little bit ๐Ÿ˜€

Coloured her with TH distress inks, also made the flower from a piece of paper which I covered with emulsion paint then added gauze whilst still wet, dried with a heat gun and then cut out with a TH die. Also added gauze to the brown tag and completed with a piece of ric rac.

Anything But A Card

This fortnight at Fashionable Stamping Challenges we want to see

ANYTHING BUT A CARD

My project is this pizza box I have made with a shaker lid and inside I made a post it note book.

Have given the see through acetate lid … the “Woman’s Face” is stamped with StazOn black ink … a double layer of acetate so the micro beads cling and form pretty patterns. Inked the edges with TH Victorian Velvet then used it on various stamps which I randomly used for the background paper and lady also added some very pretty lace and beads Stamped and inked the post it note book to match.

Don’t you just love it when you get a huge laugh out of the project you have just made, well that is what happened with the above.

Borrowed the woman’s face stamp from a friend … should have thought it through though … because I added the shaker piece to the box last it wasn’t until I opened it that I realized you look at her face upside down when opened!!!! … made me laugh … ๐Ÿ˜› Moral to this story – look before you leap stamp ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Please please pop along to see all the other DT’s creations they are totally out of this world.

Footnote: … My Pizza box was made with the Hougie Board – I saw the demonstration on Create & Craft, but here is a link for a tutorial on how to make a Pizza Box

Another new fun image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps – Agent Bubblegum Spying

Check out all the newest creations from the Marvellous Muffateers here and the latest challenge which is Animals & Monsters

For my card I also used an image from Make It Crafty called Open Window which Agent Bubblegum is looking through.

Animals & Monsters

Great combination for the challenge this fortnight at Little Miss Muffet, the challenge is for
Animals but you can also include Monsters

The main image on my card is called Pains from Monster Mash also included is a mixture of images from the Little Miss Muffet Stamps they are Adela & Dida Inventing, Bailey, Autumn Breath, Summer Monkey, and School Turtle … whew.

That’s the beauty of digi stamps you can create your very own collage really quickly without having to mask off the images. I used 5 animal pics plus Monster Pains from various other stamps in the shop and clustered them together. Coloured with TH Distress Inks and used Victorian Velvet for the blended edges.

Don’t forget that if you use one of the Little Miss Muffet Stamps for the challenge then the theme is Anything Goes. Please if you have any spare time … ha haha ha ha haha … I hear you say … then pop along to see my other teamies creations they are utterly butterly gorgeous.

Fairy Breena

Little Miss Muffet new release time … they have 4 new images which are delicious …
Breena Jada Megan & Harvest Swan
Check out the cool watermark Barbara has made for us.

FairyLittle Miss

These are all gorgeous – Breena looks so thoughtful and pretty which is why I chose her for my card but Jada is the image for my next … love her ๐Ÿ˜†

All the other DT’s have amazing work displayed for you to drool over so jump here and take a peek so you don’t miss out.

Quick telling of how the yellow background paper and flower was made.
Poured some PVA glue into a little plastic pot and added yellow mica powder, slathered it onto a piece of card, added a piece of netting and flower (previously a white flower but coloured with the same mica powder). Heated all with a heat gun, inked and distressed the edges with TH Dusty Concord and voilร  this is the effect … very very cool indeed. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Added the little white flower after.

Used the same netting and die cut a flower, the other flower embellishment is torn book pages then covered with various glimmer mists and scrunched together.
