Inspired by a song is our theme this week at Sentimental Sundays challenge and this delightful image called Grande Dame made me think of the song from West Side Story
I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and bright, and I pity any girl who isn’t me tonight
Take a stroll over to the challenge and see all the beautiful creations from the other DT’s, see if you can spot what their songs are …. while there check out the prizes you can win when you enter and the freebie this week is fabulous. Nearly forgot to mention the easy part your card has to have a sentiment on it, can’t wait to visit and see all your projects.
I was sooooo engrossed in making this card …. so pleased with how it was turning out …. totally concentrating on what I was doing, that I ended up making a teensy teensy little mistake with it …. well, it was a whopping mistake really …. pop back later today …. when I will be showing my granddaughter’s Christmas card …. and all will be revealed … then after you have stopped laughing please tell me if you too have ever done this. Unless any eagle eyed person can guess what I did before I post????
If anyone can tell me what I did wrong …. before I post ….I will send you this card for being so clever. OK a little hint for you, there is nothing wrong with the actual card itself, it is what I was going to do with the card, but couldn’t, because of what I did wrong …
My adorable image is from Phindy’s Place …. entering her into their challenge this week which is to use one of their creatures. Grande Dame is adorable, coloured with water colours, flocked her dress around the edges, added loads of micro beads and a little bit of cotton wool for her powder puff. The inside sentiment on the tag is a rub-on.
Also entering for:

This is stunning Shirl, I must be too distracted by all the prettiness to notice the mistake!
Gorgeous card Shirl, studied the card can’t find a mistake ,you sure there is one. xx
Oh-my-goodness! This is completely GORGEOUS! You have be-gowned and beaded “Grande Dame” in the fabulous fashion she is accustomed to – soo stunning! I am so tickled with this lovely creation that I am going to pull it and feature it on my blog today.
Thanks so much for playing along at Phindy’s Place!
Absolutely gorgeous. I could not find anything wrong with this beauty!
This is beautiful! So much work! I love the beading and the flocking. I have not mastered the art of either. Like everyone else I could not find a mistake either. I am going to guess though. Did the circle get cut when making the card? Just a guess because everything looked perfect!
Wow, wow, wow – this is stunning. You certainly have done Grande Dame justice. I love all the details you have put into this card but can’t imagine the amount of time it must have taken. I too cannot find anything wrong or maybe I just don’t want to. Thanks for sharing this with us at Phindy’s Place.
Hugs!

Oh wow! I this is gorgeous! I love the beads, the colors, and, well, just everything.
HOLY SMOKES…. She is Pretty for sure…. and your little tiny mistake… You shouldn’t have mentioned it, because all it made me do was go search for it… Because I completely never noticed. It was like “Where is Waldo” ha ha… Your creativity is simply STUNNING, mistake or no mistake! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this.
Thanks so much for joining in this week for Phindy’s Challenge.
Wishing you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hugs,
Lynda
Hi there
I am thrilled you have joined in my “Free and Easy” theme at Allsorts this fortnight and confess to being astounded by the huge response .
I usually like to visit every entry and say a few words about their creations, but the sheer volume so far along with the Christmas preparations we all have to juggle means this is a “copied and pasted” message, for which I apologise.
Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and wonderful holiday time

Oh my goodness! What a totally awesome and amazing creation this has so much love and work and detail in it Shirl. If there is a mistake it’s like the old Amish quilt mistake – there must be tiny one somewhere as only God is perfect.
This is stunning and I couldn’t guess in 100 years what you didn’t do LOL
Thanks for taking the Phindy’s Place Challenge, hope you’ll join us again
Merry Christmas!
Anne
Your card is absolutely gorgeous she really is so pretty, as for your mistake I can’t see anything wrong but was wondering did you make it with the fold on the wrong side. That’s one I’ve made when I’ve been super concentrating
