Queen For A Day

Just using the colours red, white and blue makes everything look so patriotic.
For the background of my card I stamped with blue ink, embossed with clear powder then inked around the edges with barn door before stitching the lace around the edges.

I cut out a TH dress form shape, triple embossed it then stamped into it with a Craft Individuals Flourish Stamp, added some red ribbon as a sash across the bodice part then dotted with liquid pearls. I also triple embossed a piece of red card, added perfect pearls (forever blue and pearls). Inked up my Queen of Hearts stamp with white ink then whilst still molten I stamped into the red card. Did the same with the TH crown stamp but this time I triple embossed onto blue cardstock.

Stamped the two crowns and butterfly onto skeleton leaves then cut out, you have to work very delicately when doing this because the leaves have a tendency to tear.

It’s such a great feeling when you start looking for things in your craft room and you find something you forgot you had.
I was looking for a sentiment to go with my card when I came across this box set of Anna Griffin Stamps and inside was the perfect sentiment … Queen For A Day.

Hi Shirl, fabulous card, love all the different shades of red and blue. Stunning effect of the white ink on the embossing. (my kitchen was so hot whilst cooking dinner, don’t think you’d have needed the heat gun to melt the utee LOL!) Thanks for joining the Happy Daze challenge and good luck in the draw. Have a great week. xx

Brilliant Shirl, I think you must have had fun with this, so many things going on with it, very different from the other red, white and blue stuff that I have seen on blogs of late, not a Union Jack in sight, which is great.
