Magical and Mystical is the challenge this fortnight for Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
My thoughts are with my very dear friend and teamie sister … love and hugs Lynne, thinking of you.
I am not a fairy person and any stamps I used to own I gave to my granddaughters so thinking cap on and I came up with the Wizard of Oz. Papers and stamps all came from The Craft Barn but the bird was one I borrowed from Brenda when we had our crafting day this week. Stamped onto a skeleton leaf then added lots of texture with colouring, inking, embossing plus when I distressed the edges of the black card I added the shavings to the bird.
If you look closely you can see I have used the masking tape technique where you tear off strips and layer onto cardstock … or cereal cardstock … I then inked, stamped and embossed over the top with various stamped images.

Love this one Shirley, and very original! Love all the details and the bird stamped onto a skeleton leave is a brilliant touch.
Love the tags for the Skype demo. gorgeous colours.
Have a great weekend.

Shirley, that’s a wonderful composition. Great idea to take the OZ-theme. Fantastic details and colors.
Hi Shirl…so glad you and Brenda had a great time! It certainly shows in this card! The colours are brilliant and sooo much texture. I love the scarecrow, he looks like he is on a mission lol…if he could just stand up. Great card Shirl.

Yay, you found something at The Craft Barn then, what happened to the Marie Celeste? Hope you had a good day Friday and a fab party last night. We had one at my next door neighbours, but stayed inside because of the rain.
Love the papers and design of this my friend, your stamping on the skeleton leaves in inspired.
Shame we can’t get together again before you go home.
Happy Jubilee weekend.
