BIRDS is definitely the name of the game this fortnight at Fashionable Stamping Challenges as chosen by my lovely teemie Meggymay so we would love to see those birdies in anyway shape or form.
It’s my SIL Irene’s birthday today and this is the card I have made for her. Happy Birthday … Eye!!!!
I used a garland stitch to join together two 8″ x 8″ Papermania scalloped cardstock pieces then scored down beside the stitching … had this cardstock for a number of years but it only came to light because I am cleaning out my craft room … about time too says hubby.
Got so carried away with the stitching that even the ribbon couldn’t escape the needle. Irene is very much like myself and likes the pretty grungy type cards so this was a joy to make for her. It’s really great when you get these ideas and put them into practise but the only problem now is finding an envelope big enough to fit the card … d’oh.
Brenda one of my DT sister’s at FSC is having a 3rd Blogaversary giveaway and she has a fabby set of stamps and more up for grabs … so what are you waiting for!!!!

Shirl, that’s beautiful! I love the brown and turquoise. Turquoise is my favorite color and the birds aginst the barn red is just stunning.
Hi Shirley…so many yummy bits on this card…loooove these flowers, and the birds in blue look fantastic on this card. I think that if you can’t find an envelope then you should hand deliver it – just saying! lol
