Christmas Tag #8 Funky Junky Style
#1 tag is here with the rules. Linda’s # 8 tag and the Funkie Junkie Boutique is here.
Wow still loving every minute of making these and following along with Linda’s 12 tags of Christmas.
My inspiration this time round came from Linda’s jolly little fat man on her tag. Of course I am referring to Mr Santa Clause himself … who wouldn’t look quite the same if he was all suave and slim like James Bond … well would he???
Inked the background of the tag with D I’s, Ripe Persimmon, Pumice Stone and Fired brick. Dipped last year’s free snowflake stamp from C S into some white paint to decorate the edges. Used it again then cut out before adding a S U sentiment to the middle. The Holiday Greetings is also from S U. At the bottom you can just see I have used a La Blanch stamp called Unfinished Script with Versamark and white E P.
Now onto Mr Clause himself, a really kind and generous lady called Maria gave each of us at my class last week some Father Christmas paper napkins.
So big jolly fat man himself has been torn and added with M P. How cute are those cheeks, don’t you just want to pinch and say who’s a pretty boy then!!!
Key:
D I’s – Distress Inks … C S – Craft Stamper … S U – Stampin Up … E P – Embossing Powder … M P – Mod Podge

Fabulous!!! Love the white snow flakes around the edges! That was one of my all time favourites from CS (thanks for the reminder) and Santa looks fabulous! Love how these paper serviettes just always manage to perge right into the background. Great effect!
Oh Shirley, this is fab! The colours and blending are gorgeous and I love the composition. A wonderful, wonderful tag! Chris xxx
Shirl, I have very much enjoyed viewing and marveling at each of your amazing tags. This one is gorgeous! I have used napkins before, but not quite like this, and you have inspired me to do it more! Thank you! Your Santa is wonderful, isn’t he? So glad you shared him with us. I also love the white EP in the holly leaves. I had not considered doing that in combination with the napkins – I really want to try those techniques, and want to thank you for showing how to use mixed media in all your projects! hugs, de
Shirley, this is adorable! I love that Santa and the snowflake edging is so festive! Wonderful Christmas tag! Hugs!
Brilliant. Just love this Shirl, the colours, design and gorgeous Santa image. I can’t believe you are making more Christmas bits lol.

Oooo this one also is really gorgeous, love it Shirley !!! I’m sorry, it’s hard to keep in touch with everyone in these times… 🙂 Hugs, Coco x
OMG! I love how one area blends so effortlessly into another. So subtle and so VERY effective!!! My favourite one so far I think.

Gorgeous rosy glow to this, and I love the framing snowflakes – really great tag again.

Lovely warm, vintage feel to this tag! Julie Ann xx
I totally love the color palette you worked with here, Shirl, and how beautiful does it look with those white embossed snowflakes. Old St. Nick definitely looks jolly too. The script at the bottom ties everything together. Super take on Tag #8!
Hugs,
Linda
