New York Socialite

Yesterday started off by me wanting to make an envelope album something I haven’t done for ages. Tags were going to be inserted into the envelope pockets and so on …

Here are a few of the items which I had on my desk ready to use, other stamps were added later.

Now I am sure this has happened to you … everything takes on a mind of it’s own and you end up with nothing like the original project you wanted to make.

The envelopes and tags are still on my desk ready to make a start today but here is the card I made instead.

I think the stamp had something to do with my complete change of course, just got carried away with her.

New York Socialite.

Hi Shirl – this has happened to me many times, but the disappointing end result often ends up in the bin after hours of frustration, whereas your card is stunning, and you have obviously had lots of fun and enjoyment whilst travelling down a different path!
Look forward to seeing your envelope album – I just know it will be fabulous!

Isn’t it amazing how the most beautiful creations come out of where our minds take us. I absolutely love how your background brings this stamp to life…a gorgeous card Shirl

Your socialite is wonderful, Shirl! Most of my cards evolve like that – or should I say “de-volve” into something completely different than what I had in mind. Very seldom does my project come out the way I had intended. I especially like the dark shading in the top of your project. Your “model” is stunning! hugs, de

Actually she is quite fabulous, so I can see why your journey changed course! I love your socialite and the background you created for her is pure magic! How clever to run the stenciling over the burlap or fabric bolt! Hugs!

But this is weird… another absolute beauty, that I know I commented on. I love her classy old school glamour, and the fabulous layered stamping and book text.
