Vintage Stamping Challenges has a Summer Days challenge theme this month which was our lovely teamie sister Claire’s choice.
This is my DT piece for the challenge a Summer Album. The hunky man on the front is a stamp from Flonzcrafts which I gently coloured with distress markers. I say gently because it was stamped onto a very flimsy cream paper lace doily which is from the Docrafts range. Masked him off then added dimensional paste through a TH stencil called Burlap. Added some Worn Lipstick ink then topped off with gilding wax called Rose Quartz. It has given the paste such a polished lustre which you can only see in real life. Papers used are from a Prima pad called Stationer’s Desk.
My inside cover page of the album has a stamped border of roses which were inked with Black Versafine then coloured in with Faber Castelle watercolour pencils. The woman painter was also coloured the same way, you can find her here. The same ink pad was used for the quote before framing and cutting out.
Six envelopes were used to make this album with the stacking binding system. Another of Flonzcrafts stamps was used for the back of the album which is here.
To enter this months challenge just click Mr Linky at the bottom of the VSC web page and maybe it could be you who wins the $20 from Flonz’s store. Please visit the DT’s blogs for more inspiration and also it would be nice to leave them some love.
Just brilliant Shirl, so look forward to seeing your albums, love the doily, you are certainly braver than me, not sure I would have attempted texture paste on such a delicate surface.

Your album is absolutely SPECTACULAR Shirl!! Love the techniques and how you put this all together 🙂 ♥♥♥
Fabulous Album Shirley, lots of gorgeous images, love those papers, The emboesed texture on the doily around your ‘hunk’ gives a fabulous rugged look. Love it.

Hunkalicious indeed! What a great album, Shirley and you have combined all the images so beautifully. Love all the details and vintage goodness. Love this! Hugs!
Fantastic album Shirley, great having the image stamped on the doily, makes you think the hunk has a softer side.

Wow, that’s a breathtaking album – your coloring is fantastic.
Hi Shirley. I love how you have the feminine half and the male half and each blends in so effortlessly. And the roses on the doily bring both sides together…nice touch! My favourite page is the woman with the roses and tickets…maybe that’s me buying tickets to England!!! Nice thought!

Archaeologists genuinely believe that Copper-era
Ortiz the Iceman might even have already been having an early elizabeth-frame
bunch when he froze to death centuries back. It also enhances feet flexes as well as down-hill braking, and yes it features aluminum shank to supply more
hardness.
