Seems ages since I have shown any class projects but today we are into the realm of mixed media again. The girls are still a little out of their comfort zone when it comes to layering up their inks, paints, stencils, different molding pastes and gesso so the class was all about these items.
One layer cards look amazing … so much to see … so I showed them what mediums to start with for the base then we worked out from there to the beautiful Lotus Blossom stamp from Stampin Up. Below is the finished card.
This is the card I made whilst showing them how to layer up but I used different colours and stamp.
Both beauties Shirl, but especially love the whole Spring feel to the first.
Don’t know about you but I like to put my girls outside their comfort zone a little, they always start with a look of sheer horror when I show them what they will be making and then you see them gradually easing into new territory, always rewarding.
Happy Easter.

Hello – so sorry it’s ages since I’ve been by… Seem to be constantly on catch up these days! Sounds as though you’re going great guns with the classes – love both these layered cards. Hadn’t seen that beautiful flower before (I will resist!) – and the spring colours are just delicious.
