Playing with string and flowers again which is such an easy way to use up all those mulberry paper flowers that we all have in our stash. Added more dimension to the card this time by using crackle paste on the petals. It made the card more interesting also when I added some other images and a die cut as well.
You’ve been having fun again haven’t you Shirl, great card as well. Another fun thing with those old stash flowers which my girls did in class a few weeks back is dab them with versafine or similar and add clear embossing power and it sort of all fizzes up and gives an interesting finish, not at all like you would expect.

Wow Brenda that sounds like fun I am certainly going to give that a go. Thanks x x
The crackled flowers are definitely more interesting like that! Lovely vintage “layout”. Which reminds me I am getting behind with my vintage scrapbook…
Beautiful card Shirley, love the soft shade with those vintage images. Those flowers look gorgeous, love the cracked effect, looks like vintage porcelain.

Stampin Up once sold some really nice mulberry paper and what a shame they stopped carrying it here! Shirley, your card is a delicate flower for sure! I love the crackle! Glad you are finally receiving some springtime weather! Hugs!

Beautiful mixed media design, love the soft colour and texture. I’m catching up as I was away. Take care, Shirleyxx
Shirl, this is a wonderful technique idea! I love that the flowers blend in with the rest of your monochromatic masterpiece, but that they are crackled in the petals! Genius! Looks so rich – I always love the elements in your creations, and the fabulous use of art supplies. Thank you for the inspiration this morning! xo
Fabulous textures Shirley! Love the crackled flowers. Jenny x
