2012 Shopping

Little Miss Muffet Challenges this week want to see Buttons and Ribbons so I combined the challenge to make 5 little books.

Now why would I want to make all these books you ask … well … 4 of us have decided to go to the big crafting event at Ally Pally next year … real name is Alexandra Palace best crafting event ever. To ease the cost we are saving a set amount each month and I have recycled some little cheapo writing pads to give the girls one each to keep a check of how much they have saved. So exciting and also meeting up with a few of the girls from Fashionable Stamping Challenges for coffee and maybe … if you twist my arm … a cakieeeee.

Back to the little books, what better image to use on the front but the shopping image called Jada, for the inside I downloaded info about the craft show and pasted onto one of the pages. Only took a photo of three books because apart from my book the others are all the same.

I coloured Jada first then cheated and scanned her in for more copies to put on the other books … no way was I going to colour all those images.

Time to pop on over to see what the other DT’s have made you will be blown away, they are adorable.

Wow, wait until you see the image we will be showcasing next week, only word to describes it … Scrummyyyyy.

Bandit Boy Tom

Love this time of the week because I get to show the new images at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, Barbara has brought to us 4 new images.
My Centre Stepper card has been made with a Scalloped Edged Craftwork Cards card …
bit of a mouthful … working out how to do it wasn’t too bad … using the new image Bandit Boy Tom.

My Card looks different from The challenge blog because I wasn’t happy with the photo taken last night so re-did it this morning.

Gratitude/Thanks

Making Thank You cards are my fave and the challenge this week at Little Miss Muffet Challenges is Gratitude/Thanks … easy peasy.
This is the card I made and the gorgeous image is Peppermint as Red Riding Hood. I know she’s not red!!! πŸ˜›

Went for a soft pastel feel for her so I used a colouring medium that has not seen the light of day in years … Inscribe Soft Pastels.
Now everyone is raving on about the Pans Pastels but these little guys do the same job at a fraction of the price … also if you buy the Pans and can’t get on with them you have lost a lot of money … where as if you buy Inscribe they are a fraction of the price and do the exact same thing. I used the Cut-n- Dry Pen Nibs for the colouring.

The main mat is vellum which was layered onto a leaf mask, then I ran through the Big Shot to emboss, stamped the edges with one of those little tapestry thingies.

Little Miss Muffet has an adorable range of images and the design team have excelled themselves again with such inspiration for you to have a peek at.

Summer Breeze

Find it very hard to do simple … have to sit on them there hands so they don’t keep adding things without me seeing.
That’s what the challenge is this fortnight at Little Miss Muffet
SIMPLICITY

Excited with this card because I got to try out my new
Tim Holtz Seasonal Winter Stamps
and wahoo while working on the card my
Seasonal Fall stamps arrived … how utterly cool is that 😎

Coloured Summer Breeze with the three Winter inks … ironic don’t you think … Winter – Summer? Stamped butterflies are from SU.

Short and sweet Andrew has kicked me off before I have finished because of problems with PC πŸ˜†

Ann-Kristine Hatter

!! Hooray – it’s a SALE !!
Barbara is out of town for the rest of this week so orders will not be filled until Sunday evening.
Due to the long wait … now until Sunday evening (8:00 pm Central Time), anyone who places an order of $10.00 or more can pick out a FREE digi!!
Just include your choice in the comments section of the order and she will include it with the purchase! 😎

Little Miss Muffet Stamps have two more new releases for you today they are Anna-Kristine Hatter & Chloe.
For my Tear-Drop shaped card I chose Anna-Kristine Hattter because I love the Hatter Girls .

Coloured Anna-Kristina and the hats with TH distress inks, also did reverse masking on the images then stamped and embossed with various little stamps.
How tight am I, the whites of the flowers were made with the cheapest of cheap white copy paper.
White part of little flower was made with €2 shredding scissors and white part of the larger flower I made a scored pin-wheel then punched the edges with a MS punch.

Story Time

Little Miss Muffet New Release Time and SARAH is my chosen image … you know me though I have added two more images to the picture and they are SPARKS the Guinea Pig & Mouse. Sarah is reading a story to both but are they interested … not one teensy weensy little bit πŸ˜€

Coloured her with TH distress inks, also made the flower from a piece of paper which I covered with emulsion paint then added gauze whilst still wet, dried with a heat gun and then cut out with a TH die. Also added gauze to the brown tag and completed with a piece of ric rac.

Pop back tomorrow to see another new release from Little Miss Muffet and I hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making.

Girly Girl

Who doesn’t love Girly Girl as a challenge theme …
you can be as frivolous as you want with your creative side …
diamantΓ© buttons, lace, ribbon, sequins, sparkle, pink wherever your mojo takes you is fine by us.

Jada screamed girly to me so no colouring this time only paper piecing, left her skin with no make-up or spray tan … a very pale English Rose πŸ˜€

If you would like to see her in all her glory … make-up and spray tan included … pop on over to see the beautiful creations the other DT’s have created.

Don’t forget, if Girly Girl is not your thing, then you can still enter the challenge using any Little Miss Muffet stamps image
(then you get to use the theme Anything Goes)

Another new fun image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps – Agent Bubblegum Spying

Check out all the newest creations from the Marvellous Muffateers here and the latest challenge which is Animals & Monsters

For my card I also used an image from Make It Crafty called Open Window which Agent Bubblegum is looking through.

Animals & Monsters

Great combination for the challenge this fortnight at Little Miss Muffet, the challenge is for
Animals but you can also include Monsters

The main image on my card is called Pains from Monster Mash also included is a mixture of images from the Little Miss Muffet Stamps they are Adela & Dida Inventing, Bailey, Autumn Breath, Summer Monkey, and School Turtle … whew.

That’s the beauty of digi stamps you can create your very own collage really quickly without having to mask off the images. I used 5 animal pics plus Monster Pains from various other stamps in the shop and clustered them together. Coloured with TH Distress Inks and used Victorian Velvet for the blended edges.

Don’t forget that if you use one of the Little Miss Muffet Stamps for the challenge then the theme is Anything Goes. Please if you have any spare time … ha haha ha ha haha … I hear you say … then pop along to see my other teamies creations they are utterly butterly gorgeous.

Fairy Breena

Little Miss Muffet new release time … they have 4 new images which are delicious …
Breena Jada Megan & Harvest Swan
Check out the cool watermark Barbara has made for us.

FairyLittle Miss

These are all gorgeous – Breena looks so thoughtful and pretty which is why I chose her for my card but Jada is the image for my next … love her πŸ˜†

All the other DT’s have amazing work displayed for you to drool over so jump here and take a peek so you don’t miss out.

Quick telling of how the yellow background paper and flower was made.
Poured some PVA glue into a little plastic pot and added yellow mica powder, slathered it onto a piece of card, added a piece of netting and flower (previously a white flower but coloured with the same mica powder). Heated all with a heat gun, inked and distressed the edges with TH Dusty Concord and voilΓ  this is the effect … very very cool indeed. 😎 Added the little white flower after.

Used the same netting and die cut a flower, the other flower embellishment is torn book pages then covered with various glimmer mists and scrunched together.
