Flower Girl

This week came and went without me even seeing it – do you have weeks like that???

Sunday today and that means another challenge begins at Sentimental Sundays. Easy peasy this week because we would love to see …
ANYTHING

Don’t you just love these challenges, no worrying about sketches, colouring, embellishments … just whatever you want to enter.
Sentimental Sundays has a Design Team Call at the moment- so all you girlies out there you have until Monday, 23rd May
to submit your entry to join a super duper carefree fun team … just go for it, you know you want to.
And There’s More
Sentimental Sundays are celebrating their one year anniversary!

Actually the anniversary of the first challenge was April 18, 2010, but the first design team members joined the blog on May 10, 2010. And can you believe it? We still have SIX members of the original design team who have been with the blog for over one year! Let’s give them a round of applause 🙂
To celebrate the anniversary, you have several chances to win a digital sentiment of your choice from
Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection!
All you have to do is visit the participating DT members’ blogs and leave a comment on their Sentimental Sundays post for this week.
That means that if you visit and leave a comment for
Ann E, Ceal, Cheryl, Joanna, Lisa, Melissa, Nicole, Shirley, Tameko, and Tracey
you will get a chance to win one digital sentiment set! Easy!

Onto my card and I need help with this one girls … for the life of me I do not know where this image came from.girl-with-basket
Believe it or not I am quite organised, I have all my digi images in folders and named but for some reason this one only says Flower Girl Freebie.
If anyone knows where she came from please let me know. Anyways coloured with watercolours and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Something weird happening with my cards – have you noticed sweeties that the last three have no pink on them … spooky for me!!!!
OK – some of you might notice that Sir Oliver’s tongue is pink – don’t count.

Sir Oliver

dog-1 Sir Oliver what an apt name for him he looks so regal sitting on his cushion. As soon as I saw this new image from Digi Doodles Shop I knew I wanted to colour him. Used watercolours and then followed the sketch to make the card … which is for the new challenge today at … Digi Doodles Shops Best.
Can’t help myself have to play with my card images after taking the photo.

Below is the sketch for you to follow at Digi Doodles Shop’s Best challenge, also go take a look at the sales which are happening in store throughout May.
For even more inspiration pop along to see what the other DT girls have created.
Sentiment used is from Raindrop Echo Design called Cute & Cuddly.

Embellish It

Team A’s turn for the Let’s Ink It Up Challenge … I so look forward to these challenges … and for this fortnight we would like to see your creations with …
Embellish It
nice easy one this and I am sure there will be lots of masterpieces entered.
My DT entry is an easel card which was made from an envelope also made a matching tag which pops inside … lots of pics.

I loved piling all the embellishments onto this card and the stamping was so much fun.
Even used a delicate corner flourish stamp which I found in my stash and haven’t used for ages …
… you don’t want to know how much dust was on it … remember girls no digi’s allowed for any of the Let’s Ink It Up Challenges.
Onto the sponsor now and what you can win –
Annabelle Stamps

Andrea has so generously donated a $20 voucher to her store for the lucky winner.

Before I go I would just like to mention that Suzanne … our Team Leader and creator of Let’s Ink It Up … is missing in action at the moment,
but I am sure it won’t be long until she is back at the helm and keeping us all in order again.
Get well soon Suzannne and sending lots of cyber hugs your way.

Claire her trusty side kick is in charge at the moment and doing a splendid job. Thought it would be a case of … while the cats away … but no chance 😀
She is keeping us in check Suzanne and cracking the whip 😯
Now pop on over to see all the creations from the lovely Design Team.

Entering for – Sew Many Cards – They want to see your Easel Cards.

our own challenge plus, an additional optional challenge which is:

Original Challenge is – Mother’s Day/Woman
Mother’s Day has bin and gone for us but not for those over the pond.

Black With A Splash Of Red

Whinging time … this is way out of my comfort zone, but had to give it a try and all I can say is … must try harder.
Added diamond glaze to her … hair, eye patch, sword and boots … looks great on the card, all black and vinyl looking, very saucy
but for some reason looked naff when I took the photo, came out grey instead of black … tooooo lazy to take another photo.

Stop whining Shirl, tell them all to go look at the DT’s projects … and the joke … at
Make It Colourful. This week we are looking for

Yey – Pink Again

Gosh haven’t done this for a while but at last I have had some playtime and created different backgrounds to display my cards.
This time it’s with a Digi Doodle Best image called 1900 & 1920 Vintage … I actually won her some time ago but never got around to colouring,
not sure why because she is lush.
She cried out vintage but it didn’t quite turn out that way as you can see.
This week’s challenge at Digi Doodle Shops Best is 😀
ANYTHING GOES

010600010601

Watercoloured her with Us Art Quest Pastelles Pearlescent paints and she really shines … pity you can’t see it as well as me … 🙂
Papers are a digi download from Websters called Home for the Holidays.

Three Punches Today

Happy Easter Blog Land
and yes I can see most of you munching your way through those Easter Eggs.
Remember what they say – “A minute on the lips – A lifetime on the hips …
If you’re like me … hah … who cares … 🙂

The challenge this week at Sentimental Sunday’s is to use Three Punches somewhere on your project and our sponsor is – Heart Song Designs.
If you are lucky enough to be our chosen winner you get the coice of three digital images featuring the artwork of Leah Cornelius

My three punches used are a MS border punch, a MS round the page punch and a leaf punch.
This is a two in one card – you get a Bookmark and a Matching Card.
Because the card looked really plain when the bookmark is removed, I decided to put the sentiment underneath … worked really well.
Image used for the bookmark is called Bird and Roses from Heart Song Designs, coloured as usual with a mixture of Pro Markers, and Watercolours.

The inspiration from the DT’s is abosolutely divine so pop here and see for yourself.

Phew Just Made It

Sponsoring the challenge this week is Some Odd Girl and I just know you would love to find out what you can win when you enter …
3 freebies of your choosing … great eh.
The image I chose to use is Snuggle Tiny Tia and the flowers are an image from Make It Crafty called Wild Flowers.
I coloured her in, and the flowers, with just about everything I could throw at it … Pro Markers, watercolours, copics and coloured pens.
Only watercolours were used for the hair and then added glossy accents for a beautiful shine.
