Clowns, Fairy floss, sticky fingers, squeals of delight and of course complaints of sore feet near the end of the day… Where are we?

THE CARNIVAL!!

If you just popped in to say g’day and like what you see then join us on the super carnival hop and go to the beginning of the fun

Zoe from Make it Crafty and Mo from Mo’s Digital Pencil, came together to share the delight and fun of The Carnival.

To celebrate – the two fabulously talented teams have come together for a massive blog hop to offer you plenty of inspiration when playing with these images.
Along the way you will find balloons with a letter in them. Write down the letters as you go because at the very end we want you to guess what the saying is!
There will be THREE grand prizes randomly drawn from the correct answers PLUS there will be hidden prizes along the way
so make sure you leave some love as you hop along!
Now we know this is a super big hop, but we wanted to make sure you would get LOTS of inspiration! The hop stays open until the 28^thApril so you will have plenty of time to come back each day with a cuppa to soak it all up! (Just don’t lose the letters you have been collecting!)

Look what I received in the post today this scrummy yummy card from my teemie sister AMY.
This little guy takes pride of place, on my crafting shelf … where else would it sit … so everyone can see him.

Wahoo inside the card was a little surprise, some beautiful flowers … how lucky am I.

Colouring Skies

finger-man My first card for the Make It Colourful Challenge and also my first time of writing the challenge post.
Loved every minute of it … well most of it, bit scary at times 😯 but the next time will be easier … when did I become such an optimist.
Colouring Skies is the challenge theme this week and Zoe’s images are just right for this kind of challenge.

For my card I chose the images Alf and Dylan Fly A Kite from Characters and Country Walk from Landscapes.
Have to own up and say this is my first time of colouring such a large area but it certainly won’t be the last.
Sentiment used is from Raindrop Echo Designs – Whimsy Stamps from the Look Ma No Hands set.

Meander On Over To Let’s Ink It Up

002 Sorry this posting is so late, problems again with the computer, yet another hard drive has just been installed.

Happy Mother’s Day

Feeling a teensy teensy bit misey at the moment, I do so miss having my family around me, especially on occasions like this … ah well

What a brilliant response to the last Let’s Ink It Up Challenge let’s hope we can do as well with this one.

Team A’s turn this time and we would love to see your Easter Creations … just a quick nudge girls no digi’s allowed …

I made an Easter Meander Book and totally enjoyed doing it, lots of stamping … (this time onto glossy card for a change, totally different how it blended but liked the effect it gave) … embossing and colouring with Pro Markers. Stamped and coloured the first Easter egg and then stamped and paper pieced the next. The cute little chick is also stamped and coloured, each page has an egg and chick on it. Also took some pics of a few of the tags which go inside the book, one of them has the stain glass window technique which I adore.

Well – that all went reasonably well … am I glad it did, Andrew didn’t even tell me he was doing it, came home Saturday and no access to Shirl’s Cards … hadn’t even put up my post for this week’s Sentimental Sundays Challenge … anyway a huge thank you again hunny for making things easier for me x x x x x x

Sunday again and what a glorious one it is, sun splitting the sky yet again and wahoo clocks have gone forward so bring on those light nights.

Followed the sketch from Heart Song Inspiration for my card and the image is from Heart Song Designs which I coloured with Pro Markers.

After colouring the image and before it was added to the card, I scanned it in so that I will always have this image if I wanted to make a quickie card for anyone but I was able to make separate little images for my blog post … coool eh. The card definitely wasn’t complete until I added the sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs which I thought went beautifully.

On The Move

Hi – not often I get to post on here! 😆

I’m currently in the process of moving Shirley’s site to a new webserver so as a temporary measure I have had to disable all comments. As part of the move this site may go “off the air” temporarily.

If you can see this post then you are still accessing the old site – so please come back again in a few hours and hopefully we’ll be all moved.

If you can’t see this post then we’re already in our new home and comments should be active again. 😉

Another Flipsy Flopsy Book

Our Suzanne at Let’s Ink It Up works so hard for wanting the challenges to be just right for you each fortnight and she has a real passion for wanting to give something back to all our followers so, every two weeks we will be hosting a … FEATURED STAMPER. All you have to do is become a follower at LIIU and e-mail your interest … Suzanne will do the rest … good eh … but … yeah always a but … no digi images allowed.

Anyway made this for the Let’s Ink It Up Swaps … Caz was my partner and the book I received from her was just amazing, a true keepsake … thanks Caz… forgot to post pictures … meant to take more but had already posted it off . All pages have been left blank ready for Caz’s photo’s

You can find the tutorial for these books over at Laura’s The Paper Trail. Check her out all I can say is wowwwww … I only added three pages to this album and made the front cover different … what am I like just can’t help altering things and putting my own slant onto it … makes it feel more like mine then. This is another creation I made here following one of her tutorials.
