Sticky Backed Canvas

Bet I’m not the only one with the dreaded cold but thankfully it’s nearly gone.  Didn’t feel like making anything so I am showing something that I made about 8 months ago.  It was when Irene was over for a holiday and we toured the West of Ireland.

Had a play with sticky backed canvas which I stuck onto one of the pages of a little gatefold album.  Used DI inks and also a mask from Andy Skinner called ‘Made To Measure’.  Only used elements from this mask but I also used two other masks which I can’t remember the names of.

Might not have made anything this week but I have been playing with my Christmas Present.

Wahooooo I got a Brother Scan and Cut.  Been having the time of my life with loads of paper being scanned.  Finally cut into some of those G45 papers that were bought only for stroking.

Hi, Shirl! I didn’t know there was such a thing as sticky back canvas! Fabulous colors, and it even seems Irish to me! Is there ever enough time? Great project! I received a SNC2 also and am having trouble with directions. Did yours come with any sort of manual? Looking forward to seeing what you create with it. Hugs, de

I’m pleased to hear that your cold is on the mend. I’ve now lost my voice, much to my hubby’s amusement! I’ve never heard of sticky back canvas but I like what you’ve done with it. I love the colours that you’ve used and the Andy Skinner mask looks great. Your comment about stroking the papers really made me smile. Us crafters are a special bunch of people aren’t we 🙂 Lucky you getting a Cut and Scan, I look forward to seeing the inspiring creations that you make with it. X

Love how the clock and the gentleman are floating over the rest of the page, very nice!
Your comment about the paper made me chuckle and I should get myself a Scan & Cut if it gets me to actually use some of that paper mountain! xx

Sorry to hear that you have been suffering with a cold but hopefully you are on the mend now. Your page is beautiful, I love the (Irish?) green in the background and I love that clock stencil too. I do hope you enjoy your Scan and Cut, it does look like a pretty amazing machine when I see it on TV. I bet you will have lots of fun with that – and your G45 papers too (I just love the smell of them). Hugs, Anne xx

I’m glad you are starting to feel better…nothing worse than a miserable cold! Come over here…the sun is shining and it is nice and warm!!!
Any machine that makes things easier is sheer bliss…I can only imagine how much quicker it must be – more time for inky fingers! The sticky back canvas looks great too Shirley – I agree with everyone that it does look very Irish with the colours (gorgeous!)

Hope you’re feeling fully recovered by now (I’m so late visiting!). What a brilliant use of Andy’s stencil – it looks just fantastic. I’m not even going to look up a Brother Scan and Cut – I don’t need more temptation.
