Whilst having a Skype session with Dot yesterday Mr Postie delivered some Crafters Companion stamp sets.
Of course a girl just has to have a play right away and this quick card was born.
Only one problem with these stamps, they come unmounted … would rather have a choice like PaperArtsy and pay extra for a mounted set.
OK so I’m lazy!!!!!
The stamped image from PaperArtsy reminds me of those dolls which have their heads on coiled wire and they wobble like crazy.
Mixed my media again – this time it was inks and paints.
Also the other mix of stamps which found their way onto this card are from darkroom door, Star and French Script … stamping heaven.
hahaha…you can’t help yourself. It looks like a heap of fun, shame I had to sleep.

Oh I do like that sentiment Shirl – so much truth in it !!!!
And a great fun card, I’m with you on the stamps and even better is a nice lump of wood.

LOL! Love your sentiment and fun image!
I’m with you – not sure if it is laziness or not, but I want the convenience of not having to put a stamp together in order to use it, Shirl. I understand why a lot of companies don’t do that, but I don’t buy from them, either. So don’t feel alone!
Happiness is… sharing art and having a mounted stamp LOL

On the mounted/unmounted debate I have switched sides… When partial stamping it’s a lot easier to hold an unmounted stamp between thumb and index finger than a mounted one. They also take less space! I use Tack & peel to temporarily adhere my unmounted stamps and love this system. I will only consider mounting only the most detailed stamps and only if they don’t stamp well without the extra cushioning.
And your new stamps are great textures stamps! Lovely card Shirl, plenty of interest in the background and the figure and sentiments are just fun!
Your new stamps have made a great background and if you’re just doing random stamping being unmounted doesn’t make much difference, but I do like image stamps to be mounted.
Love the sentiment with this image, a great combination, and I agree with it wholeheartedly!
