Surprise, surprise chuck Let’s Ink It Up Challenge is Christmas …. ha ha I know, only Cilla and us oldies will understand that one …. the twist this time round is to add Sparkle or Bling …. how easy is that especially at Christmas time. Only two weeks this time round for the challenge girls …. whoopee …. good ole Suzanne is letting us have time off for good behaviour …. oops sorry I mean Christmas.

All the DT’s have left you some lovely inspiration to look at, so go take an ogle and while there leave us your creations so we can visit you and leave lots of Christmas love & cheer.

Making this Sunburst mini album was fabulous …. found the tutorial here …. fell in love with it hook line and sinker, changed the album cover because I wanted a fold over front.

It is such a huge surprise when opened, the album bursts out to display all 7 tags inside. I used core card for my album and stamped holly leaves onto the V shaped edges before I put it together. When I was finished stamping, embossing, distressing, dry embossing …. used 5 different embossing folders …. each tag, I dabbed versamark all over, covered with holographic embossing powder and heated, also did the same to the back, wow do they bling and pop. Will be making this one again

Next is my easel card for this weeks Sentimental Sundays Challenge – Anniversary

Sorry about the sense of humour …. bit warped sometimes …. couldn’t resist adding the bit about the buns and admit it you had a little smile.

I particularly like Sentimental Sundays freebies this week and the winner also gets 4 individual sentiments sets from the Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection and a custom watermark/signature set from the Custom Design at Whimsy Stamps. DT girls have all excelled themselves this week with such a varied selection of cards to give you tons of inspiration.

Sunglasses time, is this bright or what, reminds me of lemons and limes. Came across this lovely vibrant yellow card and really wanted to make something with it. Quite plain for me not an image in sight but had a ball making it.

Christmas Tag

010392010391

Wahoo love this snow thing, Andrew has been home all week so it gave me license to play and play (shared the housework) ha ha. Have got a few projects to show you over the coming few days so keep those peepers open …. here is the first a Christmas Tag.

Lots of stamping, inking, embossing, punching stitching, glimmer misting, dry embossing in fact everything except the kitchen sink.

Printed the adorable Santa image onto vellum and the beautiful lace which has been stitched around the Santa was white until I glimmer misted it, as with the rope wheel I made.

Flower border was cut with a Spellbinders Grand Die Daisy and covered with loads of the TH black soot ink, while still wet threw loads of holographic embossing powder on it and also the edges of the tag, then heat embossed. It all added up to lots of mess but great fun …. and with both of us doing the housework …. who cared.

My last card as Guest Designer for Oldie But A Goodie, I have so enjoyed searching through all my old stamps to use on my cards. Mr Snowman is another that I have not used for a long long time, he is from Stampendous called Snow Lights. The challenge this week is Christmas Birthday which worked out well because a friend has a birthday coming soon so guess what card she will be getting. Made another Z fold card …. fave at the moment the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs.

DT Card For Sentimental Sundays and GD For Creative Inspirations

010377010378

A late DT Sentimental Sundays post and also combining with being a Guest Designer for Creative Inspirations. Have to do both together because really behind with my cards …. but oh so not my fault …. what did we do before we had the telephone and internet because I didn’t realise how much I used both until they weren’t there, three days without.

Had lots of the fluffy white stuff on Saturday and also thunder and lightning …. yep that’s what I said thunder and lightning. I would love to know if anyone else has seen this before because it sure looked spooky to me …. and to cap it all I had just seen the film 2012!!!!!

Back to the challenge at Sentimental Sundays it’s a recipe this week and we would like to see your creations with 3 designer papers, 3 buttons and some ribbon. There is also the freebie sentiments for you to collect and they are from Jeanet this week. The prize, if you win, is four individual sentiment sets from Raindrop Echo Designs Whimpsy Stamps Digital Collection and also a custom watermark/Signature set from the Custom Designs at Whimpsy Stamps. Check out all the creations this week from the other DT girls because stunning is an understatement.

The beautiful image on my card is called Sapphire Holly Fairy and she is an adorable digi stamp bought from Make It Crafty don’t you just love those wings, used lots of glitter on them but for some reason not showing very well. Coloured with water colours and used lots of liquid pearls and fluffy stuff for her dress. Papers are Basic Grey, Eskimo Kisses and the delightful sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs, ribbon and snowflake buttons from stash.

I am very lucky to be a Guest Designer this week at Creative Inspirations and the challenge is …. Christmas Gifts …. here are the sponsors …. Fantastic Ribbons and Papercupcakes.

Corry chose the theme this week and I can see why, with only a few more weeks to go until the big event what better way to get everyone in the mood than with a gift.

Isn’t he the cutest Polar Bear, couldn’t resist using him for my gift, stamped, embossed then cut him out and placed onto a nestie mat. Added marshmallows to the cellophane bag and added the naughty but nice sentiment.

A Touch Of Glamour

010371

Decided on a tag for my 2nd time as guest designer at Oldie But A Goodie …. the beauty of joining all the lovely DT girls this month is …. I get to mooch around my neglected stamps …. to enter the challenge your main stamped image has to be 6 months or over …. the challenge this week is Glitter. All the DT girls cards are so inspirational, as usual, so please go visit them.

Oh so naughty of me to have left this beautiful stamp to gather dust, from the lovely Joanna Sheen, and have not used it in years . Stamped onto acetate, turned it over and started the process of glue then glitter, glue then glitter …. quite time consuming …. but oh so worth the effort, best to leave overnight to dry.

For the tag I stamped the lady and a flourish, these are more recent purchases, added touches of glitter, little pearls, flowers then attached the glittered dress with Pinflair Glue Gel.

Still in my pinky/purplish soft and floaty mood.
